It's his money. He can do what he wants with it.
Correct. But people don't want him to use it to **** up something that was going pretty well.

What do you think the response would be if I donated $44b to the ISU AD on the condition they flooded JTS to create a bass fishing team? It's my money, but football fans would be rightfully pissed.

I would be your biggest cheerleader.

If it was going so well, why did JD vote to sell his stock?

Built Tesla?

Dude… you just announced you know NOTHING about Tesla. READ THE ******* TWITTER THREAD I SHARED.
I skimmed through it, will read more thoroughly later. Didn't see much about Tesla. The whole thread seemed to be about his college experience. Did I miss something? As I said, will read through it more carefully later, it's a long thread.

The claim seems to be that he may have worked as an illegal immigrant for a time and may not have certain college degrees? I just don't care about either of those.

Sit this one out if you are that ignorant.
Musk is free to make poor decisions, but it will cost many.

An innovative, independent disruptive leader could turn Twitter into an even better space than it was. That’s no longer Musk.

As for the future of Twitter, disinformation is like pollution. Prevention of it is a public good, and things like blockchain will be important in public spaces like Twitter.

I’ll be sad to see it go. Obviously tons of flaws but the simplicity and immediacy of information was
I don't see any difference if he owns it or not, it's a cesspool no matter what. You have to know how to use it and always gave to know to take anything with a grain of salt.

I've had a huge uptick in young female followers who "aren't into games" and are "just looking for friends *wink emoji*" the last couple weeks. New accounts with no posts. I'm sure they're all totally legit.

ETA: forgot to mention the ones that do have "posts" are 99% retweets of GOP, MAGA, and/or "Christian" crap with occasional bikini pics of random women mixed in.

Agreed, I haven't noticed much difference post-elon. I don't think twitter exists in ~12 months. Or if it does, it will be a shell of what it is now.

When Elon first invested they had three people working there. Two of them started the company. When Elon took over it had the roadster and I’m not even sure they had sold a car yet.

There’s no doubt some of the traits that helped in previous disruptive tech like Tesla are an issue now. There is a fine line between contrarian brilliance in betting on one’s self, and narcissistic self indulgence. Particularly in Tech.

Musk best attributes have often become his worst as his wealth has fostered him to being a personality cult to quench his narcissistic thirst. Not uncommon.

I still wouldn’t bet against Musk- because people with his wealth and friends are allowed to **** everyone until they find their payoff.

This might be the most ignorant post of the day. I guess you should have bought it. Or maybe you were happy with the product and every board member that voted to sell was wrong.

The easiest thing in the world is to not retweet a story from a known fake news tabloid on your second day as CEO.

The source was so bad it had previously ran fake stories that the very same person Musk was talking to had died.

No apology or acknowledgment, just deleted it when the intelligent people of the world mocked him and advertisers panicked. A day later claimed NYT was as fake as his tabloid, the opposite of contrition.

If I offer you a million over your house's value, is something wrong with your house or am I a moron and you should take my cash before I figure out otherwise?

Don’t be ignorant AND stupid.

Please reread and respond with something other than strawmans.
