This is the first time Iowa’s o-line is not a strength of the team…in a long time. Inability to run the ball creates so many issues on offense. Certainly not defending Petras but if you put this o-line on previous Iowa teams, you probably see similar results.
I don’t think you see similar results with a Bethard or Banks. Someone who was mobile and could get out of the pocket.

Man, our loss to Kansas is gonna look pretty bad by the end of the season.

Sure.....but they did lose their QB after they played us.

It's kind of funny.....the same people ******** about how bad our season is are the same ones freaking out about a loss to Kansas.

I think you’ll see Padilla their first possession. Otherwise it looks like you’re forcing Petras to be the fall guy for the entire offense.
It still is a Cyclone State.

Not only do I not think we'll see Padilla on our first possession, but when this thing turns into the inevitable blowout it was destined to be, KF and BF will still refuse to bring him in for a single snap. Hope I'm wrong.

Maybe, but they haven't changed all season yet. Not sure why anyone would assume that they will now.

That's such a ******** excuse. Iowa hasn't had a good oline very often the last ten years.

Lol, the sideline reporter just said that Ferentz says the problem with the offense is “self inflicted wounds.” Yeah, that’s it.

Wow, they actually made a change.

I'm stunned. It's not like Petras played worse than he has all season and you make a change in a game you have no chance of winning?

I'll take it I guess. For the record, I've seen Padilla play and he's not any good either. He still deserved the opportunity weeks ago.
