***2026 Minnesota Vikings***

Could the bye week come at a worse time? Thw team is winning and playing pretty well.

Now they have to play 11 weeks in a row?
It is what it is. There are plenty of things to work on. The next two games are very winnable. Focus on that.

Speaking as a Dolphins fan - was a fun game for me other than the unreal amount of dumb mistakes.

Vikings looked good. I was pretty happy the Dolphins d was able to shut down your elite receiver duo with their 5th best and practice squad CB having to play most of the game, but you guys won in the areas where it mattered most.

Wouldn’t typically expect a 37 year old to have such a disciplined team, but I like what O’Connel is doing.

Maybe it's easier since they haven't yet faced much adversity, but the entire staff seems to have excellent chemistry. It starts at the top with GM Kwesi.

5-1 heading into the bye is significantly better than I expected at the start of the season. Get healthy and prepare for Arizona.
Totally agree. If you had told me pre-season we would play GB, at Philly, NO in London and at Miami and we would be 5-1 going into the bye, I would have been ecstatic. They clearly aren't playing their best football...yet. That's what is exciting. Finding ways to win these games now can be HUGE in December and January if they do get to a point where they firing on all cylinders.

Two weeks to be excited as a fan, and for the team to get ready for the stretch run.

Not going to jinx it buy picking games but the second half has a lot of home games and winnable ones too. No reason we cant get a bye given the crappy NFC. Hope improvement continues!

You guys wanna see what Winning in the Margins really looks like?

"Vikings offense has the best average starting field position in the NFL, and Vikings opponents have the worst average starting position"

Your punter pinning the dolphins inside the 20 from his own endzone was the most ridiculous thing I’ve seen this year

Joseph has missed a few kicks and our special teams is still (according to the metrics) the best special teams unit in the NFL. Matt Daniels has done an excellent job with that group

Wright is a freak. One of the practice observers for the Vikings said that sound of the ball coming off his foot is like a cannon - unlike anything ever heard from a punter. He also said that the new practice facility was designed to be high enough to accommodate punting because the old one was too low. More than enough height for all other punters, but some of Wright's kicks have come close to hitting the roof.

That punt was f***ing wild. That might've been the most impressive play of the entire game. And he made it look easy.

I am more than a bit taken aback by how well this season is going.

In ‘21 it was obvious that there were problems waiting to happen, with so many holes on defense patched with one year budget contracts. Cheap bandaids, that wasn’t going to end well.

I felt like this year they at least patched up the remaining holes solidly…though this defense isn’t exactly the Purple People Eaters, top to bottom. But I still didn’t expect 5-1. And that without Cine and Booth.

It’s great that Ingram is starting, but I’m guessing that much like Darrisaw a year ago, he’s still a year away from coming into his own. And it feels like center is still a problem, am I wrong about that?

A center, a wideout, bump up the DL talent a bit…that could all be fixable in the Draft. If Cine and Booth are both fully healthy next year, that could well be one of the best Vikings teams I’ve ever seen!

Overall the OL has been good, but Bradbury hasn’t been very good. Could have still traded down a few spots and gotten Linderbaum. Got little in return to trade down, and Cine was off to a bad start before the injury in London.

If the Patriots win tonight, the Vikings will have gained half a game in the division lead without even playing. Can't do much better than that on a bye week.

Tomorrow night you mean. Also, I expected the Lions to be more of a threat than Chicago this season. Shows how much I know.

I’m going out on a limb and say the bears are completely irrelevant in the division standings. That is a bad football team.
