Cyclone footballers are healing up from the first 7 games during bye week, while prepping themselves for a bowl berth quest.
  1. They need 3 wins to gain a bowl birth though, but is that even possible on the heels of a 4 heartbreaking defeats?
  2. With 3 of the final 5 games at The Jack, and the injury list dwindling, are you optimistic about going bowling for a 6th consecutive year?
  3. Which 3 games are must wins if they are to clinch a bowl berth?

It's crazy to think that when we were 3-0 I was ready to commit to making a bowl trip this year. Now we have to finish no worse than 3-2 just to make 6-6 and I doubt I will go to a bowl trip unless we really are on a roll at the end of the season. I'd have to see 4-1 from here on out to do that I think.

Okay, and what if TCU remains undefeated by Nov 26, and the games on ABC at 6:30 PM. They are favored by 10, and if they win, they move into the top 4 in the CFP poll. Remember, all the RBs returned this past week. I'd say the purple toads would be setup to receive an old fashioned arse whoopin'!!
Im driving the 10 hours for that game if TCU is undefeated and ISU is/or will need a win for a bowl.

We have a good track record on TCU lately, but that's a different animal this year. And Duggan is having a phenomenal year.

WVU, TTU, and OU seem winnable. If we are to go bowling, OU is a must win. I'm concerned they get Dillon Gabriel back, but their defense seems awful.

As always it comes down to whether this team improves and stops finding new and creative ways to lose. So far they haven’t shown the ability to do that. I’m not confident (as things stand now) in any game moving forward.

I think they have Gabriel already playing against Kansas last weekend

I'm guessing they can get 2. Splitting KU and KSU (or just hammering down and winning both ****ing games) would have me thinking at least 3 wins are still out there.

I went with WVU, OSU, and Tech. This feels like one of those years where the team will jump up and beat one of the top teams (OSU) out of nowhere when things seem down. WVU and Tech are both at home and are probably ending up in the lower half of the conference when all is said and done. Otherwise, as weird as it sounds, OU is one of the other “easiest” games left on the schedule. Just win the home games and the clones are bowling

I actually think them being undefeated increases our odds greatly. Usually ISU is pretty good and ruining the hopes and dreams of other teams during seasons that we are underdogs.
I'm afraid TCU is going to be good for a while, Sonny Dykes is a quality coach. I like the WVU game b/c I feel the pressure and heat will really be on Neal Brown still

Punking an undefeated TCU would be fun!

I think we can win out at home. I think we could win in Stillwater (did not vote for this). I think TCU will be too fired up to leave Ft Worth a win. They could have a lot on the line for that one, and depending how things shake out, we could be fairly deflated by then OR, worst case scenario, we are playing them for bowl eligibility and they are playing to get to 12-0 and potential playoff appearance. (Gasp!)
