What concerns me is this is really the first multi-dimensional team we'll face this year. Each team we've played thus far was either really good at passing or running coming into the game. Texas has Ewers and speed in the passing game and frickin Bijan the wrecking crew in the running game. Our defense has done amazing but lacks some speed so having to cover both equally is going to be an incredible test.

Texas has their D playing really good right now - but we all know how that can be a game-time decision, especially when not facing an Alabama or OU. If they're locked in like they were against OU, we're really going to struggle to stay on the field.

On the bright side - Texas has their wild mood swings so we may have a chance to keep it close. And this is a trap game with OSU next up.

I don't feel good about this one though.

Oh I don't know. Realistically I think we struggle to keep it within 20. But one of Campbell's calling cards over his tenure is to turn in a great performance when things aren't looking good. So I guess I wouldn't be altogether surprised to see us keep it close or even win.

So to answer your question, I have no damn clue.

I would feel a lot more hopeful if we had seen any difference or improvement from the Iowa to KU to KSU game on the offensive side of the ball. Iowa I let slide because of their D. KU was inexcusable and KSU was much of the same.

But here's to another day and another growing opportunity.

Thank you Simone

Texas plays to the level of their opponent more than any other college team in my opinion. This game will be a good test for them, to see if their culture has changed or not. I lean toward not, and an Iowa State cover in a game that's probably not as comfortable as it should be for the horns. I think ISU does open the offense up some and gets to 20+ points. Texas 28 Iowa State 20.

ISU's defense befuddles Sark and Texas-is-back talking heads. Turnover decides it down the stretch. Clones shock media darlings hanging yet another B12 loss on the not-so-fast whorns, as Jace Gilbert reaches full redemption with game winner. CMC smacks ISU fans once more in post game comments.
Surely, send me what your smokin. I really need it.

I feel like a broken record as i feel i have the same thoughts each game:
Not TOO worried about our defense being able to limit Texas against their normal production.
IF we don't have any "gimmes" like dumb turnovers or broken plays, we have a chance.
BUT, of course, the offense needs to score at least two touchdowns for a chance to win.

I got even money on Texas to win both 1st/2nd half and Texas to score less than 42 - seemed like a no brainer to make some cash (famous last words). We shall see.
