The OL was horrible in the first half. Hunter could have played with a lot better, but that last play was a perfect example of how bad the line played.

As bad as the first 80% of that half looked, only down by 6 is "Okay"

We force 1 turnover and this game can be ours.
Have you been actually watching the last five years, we are always within one score and then lose. Go back and look up the loses, overwhelming majority of them are by one score.

Big 20 minutes coming up in Dekker's career. When there's no running game to speak of, I'm afraid it's pretty much all on his shoulders.

I don't know what metric has as "best defense in the big 12"....but I don't believe it. but....keep hope alive.

Everyone blaming Dekkers.

He is young, and lacks experience, but he has the talent.

So in that case you need a line that protects him, gives extra time.

This line is doing the exact opposite.

As a former Lineman I believe the line never gets enough credit, they also do not get enough blame. I look at the line, the line is the basis for everything. If the O line gives protection, then things go good, if the D line gets a good rush then things go good for the D.

In our case the O line is giving Dekkers little to no protection. He has little time. Once a QB (especially a young one) gets hit a few times, he starts hearing footsteps. And that just makes it worse. Dekkers is not a scrambler like Purdy, but he should not have to be. A decent line should be able to give him some protection. They arent.

On the D side our D line is getting worked. We are not getting anyone in the backfield. We are not hurrying the KU QBs, they have a ton of time, they can run, they can throw.

Then you have terrible go nowhere play calls.

This is on the Line/Line coach and the OC calling the plays.
