Lazard is just a really solid player. Versatile too.
I wish he would have been used for blocking like this at ISU.
What's dumb about that @clonedude? Lazard has a grand total of 6 catches and 58 yards in two games, so far, to go along with his 2 TDs.I mean, he has 4 catches for 45 yards and a TD on 6 targets. Not exactly what you'd expect for a #1. I'm not a doubter, but a stat line like that isn't really silencing anyone.
He did most of the bubble screen passes. Remember the OU game when they swung it to the old UNI track guy who took it to the house.Lazard is just a really solid player. Versatile too.

I'm not saying that he can't or won't be a legit number 1 receiver this year, but none of the talking heads who said that Green Bay didn't have a legit #1 receiver are eating humble pie, just yet.
He was. He was a great blocker at ISU, where were you!

Again, I'm not saying that he isn't great or going to do great. I'm saying that his 6 catches and 58 yards isn't "silencing the doubters" yet. Cyclone and Green Bay fans will give him credit for being injured, but the rest of the NFL viewers will see a nice red zone target and pretty mediocre receiving stats.Of course you know that Lazard has been injured the whole year and is playing hurt, right?
And he still had a TD today, 2 clutch catches on the Packers final drive, and clinched the game by grabbing the onside kick. Could make the case he was one of the candidates for MVP of the game for GB, while not even healthy.
Give it up ripping on Allen…. you look stupid doing that.
lolJefferson for the Vikes had a horrible game today, so does that mean he’s not a WR1??
Lazard had a WAY better game than him.

The way I see it, there's no need for legitimizing his place as a #1 receiver to be the mendoza line for success, this year. If he ends the year with 65 catches for 700 yards and 10 TDs, that should be viewed as a fantastic season, and major success for him, even though numbers like that will still have talking heads saying "He's not a number 1". So, don't let that be the measure of success.
Lol. Are you even reading my posts? That's exactly what I'm saying, that people shouldn't care if he's seen as a legit number 1 or not. I didn't even bring it up. It was another poster who said he was "silencing the WR1 doubters". My entire point is that we shouldn't let that be the definition of success for him. What is your obsession with someone being a WR1?
What if Rodgers spreads it around more this year and Lazard, Doubs, and Cobb all have great years and similar stats and GB goes on to win the Super Bowl….. does it really matter who was the WR1?
Davonte Adams is Oakland’s WR1, and they are horrible. Maybe it isn’t ideal to have a clear cut WR1?
Yes. 100% agree.I’m being sarcastic. Of course Jefferson is a WR1. My point is they have bad games sometimes. He was doubled a LOT today also.
I’m just saying why is having a clear cut WR1 a big deal? Lazard has proven to be a really solid NFL WR….. so who really cares if he’s a WR1, WR2, or WR3? He’s really good, he’s from ISU, and he’s an even better human being. That’s all I need to know.

C’mon Denver, knock Jimmy G out of this game. Not seriously, just enough not to play this game.
