NFL: ***2022 NFL Season Thread***

Lazard is such a great story. I will never understand why no team drafted him.

When is the NFL/NBC going to learn to stop putting the Packers vs. Bears game on Primetime every year? It's always a beatdown.

Because he played for Iowa State, duh

I know and that’s started to change, thank goodness.

But Allen could write the book on making it despite going to Iowa State. And it starts by sticking like glue to the most important person on the team. Rodgers is crazy, but he loves Lazard.

Because Lazard's measurables don't line up with what scouts look for in receivers they want to draft. He's not overly fast for a receiver; at the time there was some question about his hands; and his body didn't match what they wanted in a receiver. At the time most scouts would have rather seen him move over to TE because from their perspective he fit the position better.

And let's face it - if Lazard didn't impress the hell out of Rodgers, causing the two to grow close to the point where Rodgers went to bat for him, Lazard probably would have never gotten the chance to prove all the scouts wrong. Because most people scouts miss on don't get the second chance that Lazard got.

I say this as a Bears fan. We deserve to lose this game solely on the reason that we stopped going to Montergomery after that first series for the next three series. So dumb.

I’ll never understand coaches who run out of the gun and then run it up the middle with the QB. They think they’re really fooling someone doing that. Sometimes coaches just outthink themselves.

The safe word with BF and I is ….. Punt.

He almost dropped that ball a second too early before crossing the goal line.
Could you please change that to “and me”? You’re killing me every time you post.

Overall I still think the Bears are pretty bad. Likely a 5 win team. If their field wasn’t swamp ass last week they would have likely lost to the 49ers
