100% deion wouldnt be there long but he'd own

I wonder if he got say his FSU job...if he'd really want to coach for 5-15 years? Maybe the drive to win a championship is there.

I'm sure he'd prefer NCAA coaching over NFL. These P2 teams are going to have to do something with the cash and they all have pimped out stadiums and locker rooms already.

Big Ten/SEC coaches already make pretty close to same $ per game as NFL coaches and that's before the new unlimited supply of money has kicked in.

bob wouldn't go. You think Mark would?
After his public fighting with Calipari earlier this summer, yeah. If Mark Stoops doesn't feel like he has the full support of the administration and will be stuck playing second fiddle to basketball, why wouldn't he go to his alma mater?

I don't understand why Gary Patterson's name hasn't been mentioned. I think he would be a great hire for Nebraska.
I think Gary is still a solid defensive coach, I just don't think he can run a program anymore. The trends in recruiting and program management in college football passed him by. His downfall at TCU was his inability to adapt to the increasing player agency. He had a long time to right the ship in Ft. Worth, and he wasn't able or willing to adapt. I don't see him changing his leadership style or philosophy as the head coach at Nebraska and it probably ends poorly.

Iowa's first 3 call would be Bob Stoops, Mark Stoops, and Bret Bielema. And I don't think they would even need all 3 calls.
Can we please, please, please get these two on the same coaching staff?

No.

Go dunk your head in a cold tub of water, and then go about your business.

Tell no one that you posted this on CF.
I’m surprised some on CF took my post seriously, I should have ended with a bold SARCASM. Only Campbell & his wife & possibly JP know what his career aspirations are.

Can Iowa State land some of the guys from the State of Iowa in the transfer portal from Nebraska. I felt like we got 2nd place about 5 times recruiting against Nebraska these last couple years.

Campbell has way better chances at conference titles and Playoff spots at Iowa State than Nebraska…especially after OU and Texas leave. He has the opportunity to make ISU a consistent top 3 program in the conference, has access to the playoff, has a great relationship with his AD, controls all aspects of the program without substantial booster interference, built his culture - all things he doesn’t have at Nebraska. You think he’s leaving all of that for a few million more bucks?? No way.

Let’s see. Make a few million bucks at Nebraska for four or five years before he’s fired because they’re nuts, or make a gradually rising salary at ISU for the next twenty?

My math skills aren’t great. Someone help me out here?
