Matt Rhule would be a slam dunk hire imo..he’s likely getting fired soon too..
Dont sleep on Lane Kiffin either..

As for CMC..it would truly shock me if he left for Nebraska...Complete trainwreck of a program and that job is about to get a lot harder in 2024 with USC joining and heck maybe even ND and BIG getting rid of divisions too..

ISU has spent a crap ton of $$ for cmc on new facilities and salary for his staff not to mention JP is soon going to get “CyTown“ approved which will transform the AD and Campustown.

Lastly..Neb is nowhere near a blueblood program. It’s like saying UCLA is blue blood in fball bc they were great 50 years ago...Granted Neb success sooner..

Even if CMC were interested in Nebraska or another job there's a 0% chance he picks up the phone before the season ends, so unless they hire someone else we're probably stuck with these rumors for the rest of the season. :/

The worst thing about all this crap is it gives teams like Auburn fodder to pry on our recruits. Don’t think CMC will abandon all the hard work he has put into ISU for KNU unless nil has become a problem to compete at ISU. The big money schools are trying to change the sport. Hope they all fail.

The safe word with BF and I is ….. Punt.

Gruden to kNebby makes so much sense in the most nonsensical way imaginable.

This first sentence that keeps coming up...was it part of a bet?

Ames, IA
Nebraska is a total dumpster fire of a program right now. They have an easier schedule being in the Big Ten West but they're doing away with divisions here soon anyways. Nebraska has the donors, the trophies and infrastructure; however, you're also going to a fan base that has unreasonable expectations. No matter what, you will be compared to Osborne and if you can't take Nebraska back to their glory days, they'll ultimately drive you out of town.

He has it made in Ames right now. He is at a program that could reasonably compete and win the conference, hell he's almost done it once already. It's not like we only have 30k fans either, Iowa State fans support the crap out of Iowa State and show to to fill Jack Trice each week. If he is expressing interest, I really hope it's to get a big bump in his salary. He knows that he is loved by Cyclone fans and had great job security. Guess it ultimately depends on his priorities though and whether he feels he has reached Iowa State's ceiling and what he wants to do in his career.

It is. A little straight-up game winner wager with @keepngoal . He suggested just doing an av, it was my bright idea to include an opening line on every post of the winner's choosing. Still waiting on the av, should be fun. Lol.

Not exactly sure.
Since hyperventilating & speculation is the theme: I am hearing (seriously) that big money donors are pressuring Barta to clean house. Would CMC be on Iowa’s list?
Campbells integrity wouldn’t allow him to go to Iowa. Besides, that would be a lateral move so it would just be a money grab.

I also can’t quite get over the phrasing of the tweet saying “it is HIGHLY expected” that CMC will be the next Nebraska coach. It just oozes entitlement and overconfidence from the Nebraska sources … Campbell is their first choice, it’s such a lucrative and desirable job, there’s just no way he’d ever turn it down. The “HIGHLY expected” is all from one side, and that just doesn’t seem like very good reporting to phrase it that way without any inside info from the Campbell side (and you know there isn’t any).

Neither one of those things will happen.

When Iowa was 6-0 and ranked #2 last year Iowa fans were loving how they got there.
