E-ticket Question

Last year I took screen shots of my tickets and parking pass and they scanned with no issue. When I took a screenshot today, I got a notice that said a screenshot will be unusable. Anyone have any insight on the change or if that is true?

And yes I know there are other ways to save them to my phone.
I just downloaded ours to wallet and made screenshots -- all are fine. Then made a screenshot in the Cyclones app of one ticket/barcode and saved to photos -- looked fine to me. I have an iPhone 8.

We do as well.
The ticket office did tell us this week that the print option may go away after this year. Hope not.

There are still a few people without smart phones. So I'm not sure they can ever do away with pdf paper tickets.

Just curious, why do you take screen shots of them?
We've always done that with air tickets, too, as a backup in case the wallet/app doesn't work. Our photos folder is always available and these are the most recent, so for me anyway, easiest to find. We delete from both locations after the event.

If we went by that logic we would never evolve because there will always be people behind times.

I mean the tickets have evolved. Probably 90% use the electric tickets. But I doubt people without smart phones won't be allowed to go to games.

I did not think that we were allowed to print off our tickets this year. Good to hear, I prefer to just print them off at home.

Are we sure screenshots of them work? For some reason I thought they had a way not accept screenshots built in but I'm not tech savvy at all.

Looks like they will still print tickets if you ask. Students are mobile-only unless you talk to them and say you don't have a smartphone. They cannot go to Ticketmaster and print off tickets.

Screenshots are important for some people.
I made numerous posts last year giving out bball tickets for free if they made a charity donation.
(I would screenshot them, then PM)

I like not needing to know your email and for you not needing to know mine.

I always thought they should go back to paper/plastic tickets with holographic stuff on them like collector cards. Just charge an extra buck or two per ticket to cover the cost.
They would definitely have to charge more. Those multi-color double sided sheets on a card stock with metallic and holographic print with perforations and then the additional postage to mail each packet makes it probably a $3 to $5 premium.

Just kidding … probably time for me to upgrade, but I can’t complain about my iPhone 8 (unlike my wife, who keeps saying she has to have a phone with a better camera but can’t take the time to actually do something about it).

Got my 8 also. Oldest phone out of the 5 I “own” and I’m fine with that. I use a phone for the basics. I also prefer phones that I can fit in my pocket. I don’t want to be one of those guys who have an iPad attached to your belt because it doesn’t fit anyplace else.

Thanks, I’ve never done that because the app works without wifi, but that makes sense

I forgot to load one game last year in my wallet. Gal that was scanning tickets told me to go ahead after I explained what had happened and had my wife vouch for me to.

I still prefer the hard copy of the tickets. Working in IT, I have spent too much time dealing with phones, I prefer not to carry one. I am there for the game, that is my focus. The call will wait (especially in Ames on gameday). -- probably the one time I would like to have AT&T (they used to bring in additional trucks for coverage as well)

Last year it seemed that even when I downloaded my tickets, there was always a hook that was trying to sync back up. With the lack of coverage around the stadium, this would take forever. Screenshots were the way to go. Hoping this runs smoother this year.
Anything before gameday was a breeze (RV parking pass, ticket transfer, etc). Transferring tickets the day of (while tailgating) sucked. Screenshots and texting was the only way. I still do the wallet, just hoping for better luck this year.
