Will Scott Frost make it til

He just a horrible leader.
But he makes such awesome strategic decisions. He went from 5 defensive assistants to 4 so that he could add a special teams coordinator. The result was to give up 528 yards to NW while showing how not to execute an onside kick.

At least they won the punting game. I remember when our MVP was a punter.

I think NIL could allow them to compete again. Their fanbase seems like one that would do anything possible to compete again, including dumping millions into NIL money. I don't think they'll ever be a national contender, but the potential is there for them to be a Top 15 program. Weak conference schedule and NIL advantages should allow for 9-10 win seasons.
I doubt it - I don’t think they have rich alumni who can dump tons of money in NIL. Plus their reputation is shot. You can have down decade at let’s say Georgia or Florida or FSU and still recover because there are attractive aspects playing for those schools. But Nebby?

Their athletic budget seems to be pretty high every year and and that's while they are experiencing the worst football they've had in forever. Last one I saw their budget was higher than any school in the Big 12 except the 2 that are leaving. With the new Big 10 TV deal they are just going to get more money and if they hire the right coach and he starts winning even more money will come in. The potential is there, but I just don't think they are capable of hiring the right coach.

I think they have plenty of rich alumni and fans. I don’t think they have a Phil Knight or Boone Pickens, but they probably have a lot of business owners and executives in the Lincoln area that support the program. They probably have a decent amount of people who are worth 10s of million of dollars.

I think LinkedIn learning offers some seminars on "How to be a Leader"....maybe he could sign up for that. Or UNOmaha might have a "Leader" class in their business school he could take a night class in or something...I am pretty sure UNO classes transfer into Nebraska-Lincoln....just not accepted the other direction.

It is inevitable that Nebraska will again have a 6-6 season in three or four years.....it will very interesting to see the battle-to-the-bottom competition to score them in a bowl between the Quick Lane Bowl and Dukes Mayo Bowl to get that 40,000-plus dupe ticket sale. It will be epic.

It’s always going to be about the coach not the money. Texas has more money than anyone and hasn’t helped them worth a lick.

Yes, coaching is #1 by a long ways, but if you have a coach & money then you have elite team potential. The NIL is bound to make a difference. It has just begun, but schools with cash will start figuring out how to take advantage of it. Plus the cash will help retain coaches. It's actually surprising how bad of a coach Frost is. I think he would be the bottom coach in the Big 12 and it's not even close.
