7 more golfers rumored to be leaving for LIV after the FedEx Cup. Cam Smith is expected but others rumored are Matsuyama, Leishman, Niemann and Varner.
Wow…. at this rate I’ll get a TON more done on the weekends when greed finally makes me stop watching golf and college football.
Maybe I’ll just actually go play golf all weekend instead of watching golf and college football. That would be a LOT more enjoyable anyway.

And again, LIV is like 3 months into existence and has gotten farther than any other upstart league across any sport. The threat is real and to minimize it is incredibly stupid.

What is the point of LIV if no one watches? The Saudis aren't just going to throw money at it indefinitely with no ROI. It's a bunch of glorified exhibitions with no stakes (because the players are paid up front) and it's difficult to watch.
We actually don't know that. From everything I've heard/read, they have like a 5 year runway with $10 billion.
Curious that they aren't replacing him to keep with 30 golfers.

Yeah, I thought that they would replace him with #31, but I guess if he's going to get automatic 30th, that money would go to him instead.

More power to them if they get more money, but I'm no more interested in team golf (outside the Ryder Cup and things like that) for the PGA than I am for LIV.
The league will launch with six teams each consisting of 3 PGA TOUR players. Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy are the first two golfers committed to compete.
