It depends...If the holder is free-standing it goes over, if the holder is built into the wall it goes under.

I mean, mostly i don't even think about it, but if I'm actually thinking about it, under is less likely to be ****** with by the cat.

For the average adult, yes the answer is very straight forward. For anyone that has had a young kid, or cat in the case of Alarson, you've walked in to them sitting on the toilet and unrolling the entire roll.

In Ames it should be counterclockwise as that is Cyclonic in the northern hemisphere.

I think that whole direction the toilet flushes thing in which hemisphere is a myth. I can't prove it, cuz I've never been to Southern Hemisphere to test.
