It’s amazing how getting rid of OuT brought about stability. Who would have thought?
YepI think the best reasonable case is Oregon bolts for the Big 10, and the Big 10 says to UW they aren't going to expand at this time. Then the Big 12 could lock UW up w/ the new deal and GoR.
I think Oregon is a pipe dream for the Big 12.
You think the Big 12 adding WSU and Oregon St is a requisite to those entering the picture?
Those services will get involved with the Big 12 taking the top of the Pac12 and killing off that conference.
Thanks for the info. Crazy they are still holding a grudge all these years later. I wonder if ND would make more money as an Independent or as a member of the Big 10.![]()
The Centennial Celebration You Don’t Know About // UHND.com
On November 23, 1887, there were 38 states.www.uhnd.com
The Fielding Yost years, from about 1909 to the 1930’s. He was the reason the conference denied membership to ND three times and he tried to get other teams not to play them. He is the reason they adopted a national schedule and started playing USC and Stanford. He was there in an era when ND students had to fight off an attack on campus by the KKK.
Notre Dame as Long said they would make more money if they joined a conference, but they don’t care. They love the idea of being independent and focusing more on the school itselfThanks for the info. Considering that those four schools are all having quick Board of Regents meetings and they have supposedly schedule a meeting with the big 12 I would say it’s legitIs there any proof that the big12 is reaching out to the 4 pac12 schools listed? I have been dreaming of a early november game in Tempe for several days now.
Every time bball is mentioned in this thread it’s like nails in a chalkboard.Adding AZ, ASU, UT, and CO kills the Pac-12. It also gives you 16 teams, equal to the Big 10 and SEC (2024-2025 timeline).
17-18 priorities are Oregon and Washington. But if they go to the B1G. I'd be cool with sitting and waiting for the ACC to explode and raiding teams like UVA, VaTech, Miami, NCST, Duke, etc.
Imagine a basketball conference with KU, Duke, and Arizona....
Bball isn't the reason for expansion but its still fun to talk about the possibilities.Every time bball is mentioned in this thread it’s like nails in a chalkboard.
I am also dreaming of going to boulder again for a game. That place use to be a good time, its been years though.Considering that those four schools are all having quick Board of Regents meetings and they have supposedly schedule a meeting with the big 12 I would say it’s legit
Not to mention Manhattan . . . . oh wait, that one is in Kansas. The Big 12 is about to have MAJOR exposure to Dallas, Houston, PHX, Denver, and Salt Lake City.
The race for #3 would be over if this happens..
Why?? Basketball matters more than it did I the last round due to streaming.. you get 25+ spots of inventory and guaranteed subscription from August to March.Every time bball is mentioned in this thread it’s like nails in a chalkboard.
Are there Arizona/Utah regents meetings scheduled? I’ve only seen Colorado.Considering that those four schools are all having quick Board of Regents meetings and they have supposedly schedule a meeting with the big 12 I would say it’s legit

Seems like years ago the alumni Association had Amtrak trips to Denver and arranged hotels, transport, tickets and tailgating for the CU game. I never got to go because they left before I had a chance but maybe they'll start this again.I am also dreaming of going to boulder again for a game. Was just about to post this same thing. Are there Arizona/Utah regents meetings scheduled? I’ve only seen Colorado.
I remember as a kid taking amtrak to denver, it was miserable. Train broke down in the middle of nebraska for 5 hours.Seems like years ago the alumni Association had Amtrak trips to Denver and arranged hotels, transport, tickets and tailgating for the CU game.
