Sorry, but a strong disagree on this one. Brunson has way better handles, a variety of start and stop moves, all kinds of finishing ability, and can score from anywhere in the lane using ball fakes, head fakes, up and unders...ect. Offensively they are MILES apart... all in my opinion of course.
For sure not the same player right now. It's a good size comp though, and probably stylistically speaking hunter will have to adapt his game to Brunsons in order to have success at the next level

We could change the narrative of our fan base, this will happen again so why not get use to it by not letting it affect us.
Im gonna say this in the nicest way possible, but who could possibly give a **** as to what other people think about our fan base? The only people who will give a **** are Texas fans and they don't matter in the slightest. Anyone else throwing a fit would likely be bad faith acting Iowa fans who would never like us either.

It literally will not matter one bit to actual on field results if he comes bad here to a bad reaction

Everyone has an opinion and multiple things can be true.

I find it so odd that a kid coming to Iowa State - a decision which displays a certain level of belief and loyalty in a program/staff whilst turning down paying suitors in the process - would leave for freaking TEXA$. The foremost f***king trash bin, backwater, disreputable heap of jizz rags program possible. I can accept that he wants to move on from a program to "get his". BUT TEXA$$$$$$$$?!

Money makes people do really stupid things.
I approve this tu trolling.

It's bad enough these guys leave the ISU teams, but please stop transferring to other Big 12 teams.
I get that kids want to use the transfer portal and NIL to get ahead and largely support these developments. But I was really hoping TH would not end up at a conference rival because of the bad blood it would engender.

Yeah, pretty crazy that a true freshman would show improvement as the season goes on and that end of the year stats probably aren't indicative of what kind of player he is...
Neither is a small sample like “last 1/3” of the season, anomalously inflated with a 7/11 game.

Hunter needs a good amount of improvement in finishing and shooting to be more than the promising freshman he was a year ago. Hopefully his career flames out.

Why would you wish that on a kid? Especially a kid that has absolutely nothing in this world and has a chance to change he and his family's life for generations.

In the last third of the season he shot over 30% (.313) even if you take out the LSU game.

Is the last half of the season against the best defensive league in the nation a big enough sample? He shot .333 the last half of the season.

The point is that writing him off as "he can't shoot - we don't have to guard him" is foolish and a good way to get burned. He improved over the course of a season and it is likely he will continue to make incremental improvement during the offseason.
