Correct. And the other one I’d put in that group is Boye Mafe—but he’s 6’4” 261. Ebiketie from Penn State was actually measured at 6’2” 250. The ‘21 draft class has more examples—like the Georgia DE the Giants took, iirc— but I’m not digging back that far.

I found this list (below) that at least had Will McDonald on it at #44, so I thought I’d make my own of the ‘22 seniors who might have a shot at the NFL a year from now.
Not going to take a WAG at possible early entry underclassmen.
Will McDonald
*Top three rounds—especially if he can put on another ten or fifteen pounds.

Middle rounds
Trevor Downing
Middle rounds?
O’Rien Vance
Drafted if he stays healthy

Being from Missouri now, I guess you have to 'Show Me' on Dekkers. And wouldn't that be great if the NFL had Dekkers in its sights next year? That would mean good things for us.
Another show me guy. How about Easton Dean? Nobody, except the coaching staff and players, really knows much about him or how he might perform this year. IF he does well this year, he would have to show it for 2 good years to be on anyone's draft board, I would think. I'm hoping he breaks out (or someone in the TE room)!
Reading little on Ojabo. I guess he was drafted #45 last month by the Ravens? I'm assuming he will need to sit out and rehab this entire upcoming year with the Ravens, after suffering an achilles tear? He is 6-4, 250#.Correct. Pretty close to Will. So maybe I am thinking, Will looks thinner even this spring than last year. Maybe he/they want to keep him around 245#? Maybe 240-245 is his optimal weight? If he gained weight would HE be at a higher risk for an achilles tear?
Speed/quickness/agility vs. bigger is better argument.
Of course, I know the NFL want both of the above. I just don't know if Will will (sic), or wants to, get much heavier?
I mean he can stay at his weight if that’s where he is best.
I’ve seen guys get drafted high around that weight before. I think Uche from Michigan a couple years ago was like 230 and he was drafted in the 2nd.

We need more blitzing to get Will out of all this constant doubleteam. With a 3 man rush, he is losing the battle. Then when he gets a sack, refs call a 15 yard penalty on Reeder for knocking down a receiver/blocker. Will can't catch a break!
