Chris Williams the Time has Come

I am a very flawed human being. Never shied away from that.
No doubt, and you’ve been very up front about it. We are all flawed. No one is above criticism, but at times expectations of people are quite unrealistic. You know better than I do, being out in the public eye opens you up to criticism, and at times very unfair criticism. I’m seriously having a tough time understanding why some people are bothered by your friendship with TJ. I’m really trying to see their side of this issue, but I can’t come up with a logical answer. My expectations of you and CF are clearly lower than some others.

I don't know, I think CW risking his personal relationships and business he's been running successfully for a long time to satisfy some emotional anonymous message board posters seems like the prudent move.

I'd do this but guessing she won't come out behind the anonymous name.
I could be wrong, but isn't jsb the same poster who had beef with Charter back in the day? I thought at one point jsb or whoever this poster was had a standing invitation to join you guys on the pod but never took you guys up on it.

I don't know. She acted like a jilted lover and dragged Hoiberg into every thread possible for over 6 months before I finally put her on ignore. I will view a post every now and then to see what the ruckus is about and invariably it reinforces my decision to ignore.

I often read CF publications differently than I do other publications because I know the relationships between the writers and coaches is different...i'd be foolish not too...and as a graduate of our journalism school, it's difficult at times for me...maybe that is jsb's issue...he/she is a "journalist" and finds fault in the lack of objectivity.

IDK...all I know is that CW was eating Pringles on Twitter the other day and that alone caused me to question his everything...

That Pringles deal is inexcusable unless on a road trip or camping.

Others have pointed out that despite saying he doesn’t cover the team, there he is covering the team. She gets all the flack though.

I would prefer he say, I am covering the team and disclosing I have a conflict of interest because my bestie is the coach and leave it at that. We all know CF is a small operation and he has to cover the team at times.Just quit with the nonsense that he isn’t doing so and move on.

Probably "some." Eons ago I liked O'Boises and they probably weren't mostly potatoes too.
I got him off his blood pressure meds by getting him to eat less processed food, but those things are about as processed as it gets. The minute the tent is in the car to go to the lake, he comes home with three tennis ball cans worth of them.

I’m not criticizing. It’s just annoying that he wasn’t completely truthful. That’s all.

All I meant by the high powered public seating was that it appeared he was sitting in the lower level based on his tweets so he’s either sitting in the press seats or TJ’s seats or a big donor’s seats. I have no idea. Maybe Jared wasn’t at the game last night—although he did write an article.

If I were Chris, I’d say ‘yes, TJ is one of my best friends. No, I can’t be unbiased when covering him. But I run an Iowa State fan site so no one expects me to be unbiased. And JSB can go to hell.’

Like I’ve said repeatedly, I don’t care if he covers basketball. I hope he does. But he can’t have it both ways. And frankly it’s this type of double speak that sets me off—he gets mad when called out and declares it’s unfair because he doesn’t cover the team. But two games later he’s doing exactly that.

I was there. I sit up top because I like being able to see the whole floor.

Because no matter what he does there will be people like you who ***** and moan about EVERYTHING.

Just like Prohm. This site is loaded with people who during seasons with 23 wins, 24 wins, NCAA bids, a sweet 16, conference tourney titles........never good enough.

Comes with the job and I'm sure TJ knew this going forward. He has been around this level of college ball enough to understand it's time to put on your big boy pants and be able to take the bad with the good.

Not the best coach to walk through the doors at Hilton at this point. But exactly the person we needed at this time.
Good take. It is good timing for a coach that values the program like TJ. Makes me think a little of CPR. I hope the upward trajectory lasts longer than it did for CPR.
