Big men at iowa state...

He has only had 10 games with 4 or more fouls this year, and tbh more than half have been bs calls. He has actually cut down on the fouling a bunch this season.
10 games with 4+ fouls is not good especially when he's averaging less than 20 MPG. Some of it may be what TJ is coaching, but GC hounding a big man 25 feet away from the basket is bad defense and he could be called for a lot more imo.

Conditt and Jones combine to average 7.5 points and 6.1 rebounds/game as upper classmen

Lampkin carries the highest PORPAG on Torvik "Points Over Replacement Per Adjusted Game." Jones is negative by the way...

Former 5-star Moussa Cisse averages 7 and 6. He just went for 18/10 against WV. Lampkin had 16/9 on Tuesday against us. Conditt and Jones' best combined game this season is a combined 13/7 against Arkansas Pine Bluff or 12/10 against Okie ST (overtime game).

Both are sophomores with 3 years of eligibility. I'd sign up for them over what we have 12/10 times

Can you imagine this place if we had a 5 star that averages 7/6? Lol.

Cisse is a Sophomore though. Those are fine numbers and it is generally accepted universally that big men take a little more time to develop. He'll be a problem for opposing Big 12 teams the next 2 years (if he sticks it out at OSU, they seem to have a lot of annual turnover).

A big who averaged 6 rebounds a game would be amazing! That is double what our Conditt does. Also he has flashed 18/10 this season. Conditt and Jones have never combined for that..

Is he a disappointment to his ranking. Yes. Would he be a top 5 center in modern ISU history... Probably

How far back is 'modern'?

Over the last 30+ ISU has had some really good 5s although Alexander, Meyer and Cato were in that 'traditional' mix along with Homan.

Also in that time frame ISU has had some exceptional 3/4 types that could score from anywhere including back to the basket on the block. Pratt, Fizer, White and Niang types.

That's what would change everything for this group.

If Jones or Condett could make a 10-12 foot jumper, the whole offense would change. At this point it is what it is. Actually glad neither of those guys even try anything further out than a couple feet. The team has enough guys to miss jumpers.

I’ve always said that the City of Ames’ building code must require doorways to be no taller than 78 inches. That’s the only explanation I can find since Loren Meyer and Kelvin Cato.

Presently, in Big-12 conference-only games, ISU is the only school that has only one person in the rebounding Top 25, and it is Brockington, a guard. Not surprisingly, ISU is last in conference-only games for team defensive rebounds, and 9th in conference-only games for team offensive rebounds. Given the way ISU shoots the ball, there is plenty of opportunity for offensive rebounds, but ISU doesn't get many (I guess not surprising given the offensive scheme).

Lampkin is currently #6 at 6.8 RPG, and Cisse is #14 at 5.9 RPG. Either one of them would be a welcome addition to ISU's roster.

I actually didn't mind it. Let the kids have fun. The enthusiasm improves the viewing experience.

I know it would *never* happen, but I'd pay some decent money for the court to be mic'd up. I can barely imagine the hilarious trash and creative profanity we're missing in our audio every game.
That could be the 'premier' subscription. Would definitely be different form the studio version.

I liked seeing the small ball today. As much as I've defenses GC and his contributions to the team this year, I do think Kunc or Enaruna being the de facto 5 is probably the best lineup this team has had a lot of the year.

It was really something to see the offense hum with Kunc at the 5 with along with the rest of the starters. Great spacing, sharper cuts… it also helps when the ball is going in the basket.

Was this the first time we’ve had Enaruna and Kunc on the floor at the same time this year? Basing my opinion solely on the outcome of this game but I liked that lineup.

Lampkin , TCU - 6’11” 268
Cisse, OSU - 7’ 225
Conditt - 6’9” 235

I suspect both have more vertical too.
McCormack KU - 6’10” 250
Batcho , Tech - 6’11” 225
Thamba, Baylor - 6’10 245
Loveday, Baylor-7’ 210
Groves, OU - 6’10” 235
Isanza, OU - 7’1” 230
Kouma, OSU - 6’10” 240
Doumbia, TCU - 6”11 235
Kotrell, WVU - 6’10” 245
Bradford, KSU - 7’
Ezeagu, KSU - 6’10”
Linguard, KSU - 7’

like ISU Texas has two 6’9” bigs. Along with bigs over 6’9” most teams have several 6’8-9” players to go with them.
