Roll call to those attending that game. My wife and I were there up in section nose bleed 232. My ears were ringing and I still could not believe we won with the likes of Falenschek.

I was there sitting in press row as a sports reporter for the Iowa State Daily. What a game!
Hell yes I was there I know nobody care that was a blast the band could play the harm's beer song SIT DOWN NORM
My parents were there and to this day is the game my mom talks about the most.
I saw it on ESPN. Very very few Big 8 games were on ESPN in those days. I think it was supposed to be a bone to Missouri who was pretty good in those days. I then stayed up into the wee hours to watch the rebroadcast. I was a mess at work the next day. But a very happy mess!
I was there working sitting next to Norm working for the athletic department. His expression was priceless.
Was a junior in high school, but remember the game well. I agree that the game marked the beginning of Cyclone Magic. Prior to beating Missouri, nobody respected Iowa State basketball.
Was working at Scheman food service supplying the press room. Had to dodge in and out to watch it. Last 10 min or so, none of us were working.
For some us student workers in the athletic department, the beginning of Hilton magic started the month before when we beat Minnesota in OT. It was a slightly bigger crowd and I can remember an assistant athletic director commenting about how loud Hilton could get. When we passed out stats late in regulation the SID said"this place is rocking."You could feel the crowd will Ronnie Virgil to out jump Randy Bruer for the tip to start the OT. But definitely the Missouri win put us on the map. Barry stevens was very cool under pressure and you could tell in the locker room after ward that he was the heart and soul of the team.
Had 2 extra tickets that I tried to sell for $0.25 and ended up selling them for $0.10.
My dad had to get up early the next morning, so he missed the last half. When he turned on his radio for the 5:00 news (the news, not sports), CBS led off their newscast with Pete Taylor's call.
Was among those who rushed the floor. Most exhilirating win in Hilton for me in my lifetime.
Was sitting behind the basket, just to the left of the backboard.
Thirty years later a high school classmate and I figured out that we’d been sitting about ten feet apart, and hadn’t known it. But…who looked around during that game?!!
The start of my Cyclone Hoops fandom. “Whoo boy, a humdinger!”
Not only was I there, I'm like 90% sure I just spotted myself on the court!
