Cut that in half and you're looking at 3500+ square feet on an acreage in Eastern Iowa.$1.3 MM gets you the median roach motel in Washington, DC.
I think you guys know roughly what that gets you in central Iowa.
Hence the want to move back.

You can find real estate for under 200,000 in just about every city in Iowa and southern Minnesota.
maybe it would make more sense to find a job, and then narrow down the potential cities based on that?
