I am a peat/smoke guy, so very biased, but consider some other Islay bottles, besides Lagavulin. Ardbeg, Kilchoman, Talisker, etc. My go-to is Laphroaig 10, but there are lots of varieties to choose from. I drink them neat, and it is perfect whisky weather right now!I have a question for the Scotch lovers. I got some cash for Christmas, and want to add a nice bottle of Scotch to my bar. I've had Glenlivet in the past and like it; would you stick with the Glenlivet, or splurge on Lagavulin 8?
Lagavulin and Talisker are two of my favorites. Are you near a Trader Joe's? They actually have some pretty solid scotch for very reasonable. Not as a nice bottle but they're good.I have a question for the Scotch lovers. I got some cash for Christmas, and want to add a nice bottle of Scotch to my bar. How many years aged is the Glenlivet that you had?I have a question for the Scotch lovers. I got some cash for Christmas, and want to add a nice bottle of Scotch to my bar. I've had Glenlivet in the past and like it; would you stick with the Glenlivet, or splurge on Lagavulin 8?
I think it was the founders reserve single malt scotch. It was their cheapest one but still good. I might need to splurge on the 18 year, though I've heard good thing about Lagavulin. How many years aged is the Glenlivet that you had?
The 18 is the best bang for your buck if you’re looking for quality. (Just over $100, worth it though)
