Murray is one of those guys who will put up numbers against ****** teams then be shut down by good teams.

Well hard to know that yet, had 19 vs. Illinois and didn't play vs. Purdue. So I'll stick with it was our superb coaching strategy and player execution.

Would be some nice hype for TJ's program to have the matchup with Baylor be a top-10 matchup of the last two undefeated teams.

At the other end of the spectrum, Farleigh Dickinson is 0-10 and leading their conference at 1-0. I had to look, already credited with a forfeit from today's game. I would think that would make them 1-10 but maybe it is not credited as an overall win, just a conference win?

On a side note on the LSU Auburn game. An Auburn player recorded a triple double for only the second time in school history. It is incredible to me that the school has only had one in their entire history up to this point. It took the school sports information department working on awarding him an additional rebound after the game to get it done.

I'm so pumped for Saturday. I'm not "expecting" to win but will enjoy watching the effort, because I know these guys believe they can win.

And hey, if we do pull it off, then that's just a bonus!

That is an oddity. Maybe that's a conference-by-conference decision? I have no idea.

Assuming the forfeit-win counts for FDU, we're down to 2 winless (thru Dec. 29) .. both in SWAC, each 0-10:
  • Mississippi Valley State
  • Prairie View A&M

No reason to believe it wasn't legit, though. Stat reviews are fairly common -- both during and after games.

They are. But it is just as likely that they went back and looked at a 50/50 rebound that was awarded to the player who walked out of the lane with it and gave it to the guy who almost had a trip doub instead.

This is a good excuse to remember ISU's triple doubles:

Marc Urquart - 10p, 12r, 10a - Illinois-Chicago
Jamaal Tinsley - 12p, 11r, 11a - Missouri
Curtis Stinson - 24p, 10r, 10a - Colorado
Royce White - 10p, 18r, 10a - @ Texas A&M
Monte Morris - 17p, 10r, 10a - The Citadel
Tyrese Haliburton - 22p, 12r, 10a - @ TCU

Each of them have something special about them. Urquart's was obviously the first. Tinsley's was the only one that didn't have a stat that squeaked by at only 10. White's and Haliburton's were the only ones on the road. Morris' was accomplished with only 22 minutes of game play. Stinson's and Haliburton's were the only with over 20 points or over 20 on any of the stats. White's was the only one accomplished by someone other than a guard even though White handled and passed like a point guard from his power forward position.

Tinsley went on to record an astounding 19 point, 23 assist, 11 rebound triple double in the NBA. Tinsley is the only rookie to have a 20 assist game to say nothing of a 20 assist trip doub. The 23 assists was a Pacers franchise record.
