This is a good excuse to remember ISU's triple doubles:

Marc Urquart - 10p, 12r, 10a - Illinois-Chicago
Jamaal Tinsley - 12p, 11r, 11a - Missouri
Curtis Stinson - 24p, 10r, 10a - Colorado
Royce White - 10p, 18r, 10a - @ Texas A&M
Monte Morris - 17p, 10r, 10a - The Citadel
Tyrese Haliburton - 22p, 12r, 10a - @ TCU

Each of them have something special about them. Urquart's was obviously the first. Tinsley's was the only one that didn't have a stat that squeaked by at only 10. White's and Haliburton's were the only ones on the road. Morris' was accomplished with only 22 minutes of game play. Stinson's and Haliburton's were the only with over 20 points or over 20 on any of the stats. White's was the only one accomplished by someone other than a guard even though White handled and passed like a point guard from his power forward position.

Tinsley went on to record an astounding 19 point, 23 assist, 11 rebound triple double in the NBA. Tinsley is the only rookie to have a 20 assist game to say nothing of a 20 assist trip doub. The 23 assists was a Pacers franchise record.
I'm old enough to know who Urquhart is and was at ISU, and I know that he was the first to get a triple double at ISU, but the guys that did it after him are a Who's Who of Iowa State Basketball. Urquhart is the anomaly on that list, but good for him to be mentioned forever with that company.

Probably the best (and most ISU) thing about his story is that playing basketball and recording ISU's first ever trip doub is not even close to his finest accomplishment - probably not even on the list.

Yeah, I was there for the Urquhart years. If I remember right, he wasn't even on a basketball scholarship because he was on full academic ride (and went on to become a Rhodes Scholar or something like that).
