He's definitely bad for the sport
I've followed DeSantos since he was at Drexel. As much as it shocks me, he has actually improved his demeanor since at Iowa. I'm guessing that's more to do with the influence of Spencer Lee than anything. Last night was certainly a regression. It had more to do with Brands' dragging everyone down to their level than anything IMO.

Adam Fellers is an ex Iowa wrestler. He does some coaching at Sebolt. He is actually a pretty solid guy. Can't blame him for rooting on his alma mater. He is the one who stepped in between the two teams and got things somewhat calmed down.
I’ve had very minimal interactions with him, but he seems like a good guy. However, there is no reason for a fan to be on the floor at all in that situation.

Fellers isn't a bad guy. He cheers for his school that's fine. Listen to him and you can tell he knows the antics that some of the wrestlers did wasn't cool or good for the sport. He knows both staffs...it's funny when he says that St. John told him to control his guy and Fellers is like he isn't my guy or somethign along those lines.

I would love nothing more than to sit down with Metcalf and St. John no phones, no cameras and just ask each one the bad blood between both of them and Iowa now. Legit never seen St. John that fired up and refusing to give into that staff's BS.

Side note find it awfully funny how as soon as someone leaves the Iowa program for another program, staff, etc. they almost always realize how stupid the antics are and change.

That is very true. Hopefully they fill the need for better security at events like these in the future.

Can we all agree that the throwback singlet with the block I needs to be our permanent singlet. Classic and Iconic
I was going to say that last night, and I couldn't get it done on my phone before the match in front of me got really exciting.
Well, really, I wanted to say we should use that one and ban any with tornado-bugles on them.

They need more options on how you decided to donate. Other than that donating is alot easier than it was when KJ was in charge.
Pretty sure you can just mail a check for whatever amount you want to donate- I did that 2 years ago

I'm not sure how you can say that when he's literally threatened to kill two people since March. By about any measure you can come up with he's worse now than he's ever been, and that's saying something. The fact that Tom and Terry/the AD have no desire to reign him in is part of the problem, but he's making no strides on his own account either.

Noob here so forgive me but is the CRTC really the only thing keeping us back other than performing at a higher level to get better recruits?
It's not the only thing but certainly is a big piece to the puzzle. Recruits want to be able to wrestle with senior level world class athletes and they want a place to train when they are done with college if they have freestyle aspirations. Look at the top programs right now- they all have top notch RTCs

I guess I missed the death threats...I really have no idea what that's all about. I was more referring to his on the mat aggression. In years past that elbow by Ram would have lead to much more.

You seem to be more in tune with the situation though, so I'll take your word for it.

He's definitely threatened to kill at least two people since March that we're aware of

I mean the fact that refs know they have to hold him like a child when his match ends and then hand him off to someone else kind of makes a person think he hasn't made all that much progress. I won't lie I was rooting for the kid when he made the move to Iowa. Was thinking get him around Lee let him see you can dominate while conducting yourself in a pretty good manner. Well that didn't last long.

We all have said it and the wrestling community knows it....when he breaks and no one is around to stop it it's going to be bad or maybe we will get lucky and he pops off at the wrong person and gets brought down a peg or two.

Kyven Gadson is an example of how you act when you're legitimately tough and don't need to constantly try to prove how tough you are to everyone. He laughed off DeSanto's crap every time it happened, which oddly seemed like it was specifically directed at Gadson a couple times.

It would've pissed me off personally, but I've also never pinned Kyle Snyder, so I'm guessing it's a little easier to shrug these kinds of things off for him. He would stuff DeSanto into a locker 100/100 times, and they both know it.

Well Kyven is a great human and Desanto isnt. There’s your difference.

I'm a bit perplexed that ISU sports can no longer defeat Iowa...in anything! Cross country is great and all, but even less of a following than wrestling.
