A coworker has season tickets for Iowa. He tells me he likes to leave with about 7 minutes to go, so he doesn't get stuck in the parking lot.
During the basketball game, one announcer called us the Hawkeyes and said Doug McDermott gave Otzelberger his first D-I coaching job. Impressive, not sure if Doug was out of high school at the time.
I think the last is true. It was said he had worked for the last three coaches at ISU, by John and Eric I believe.
Doug was making hiring decisions for his dad?
Maybe that’s why Greg sucked so bad, his teenage son was real head coach and he was figurehead?

Whichever very average team randomly wins 9 games and wins the west ends up ranked, yet is a paper tiger. Then your good team rolls them and it looks dominating and is a shoe in for the playoff. Why actually test your champion when you can puff them up instead??
