***CFB Conference Championship Games Thread***

I want Iowa to win solely for the potential chaos. But, with 3 of the teams already locked in, that wouldn’t be fun anymore.

Expansion of the playoffs has got to happen for the health of college ball if not interest will decline big time.

One way or the other. 4 has been objectively negative. I think we may have been better off with 2, without a committee, than 4.

So if Iowa wins they deserve to be in the CFP?

with an ideal system, yes I think they would have an argument to be in the cfp if they won the big 10 (over any other big 10 team like ohio state or michigan)

this year I would have to see how everything plays out but I think cinci and alabama would be locks

if michigan wins, I think they deserve to be in

I took Utah at -2.5. After their last meeting, seems like easy money.
Calling it now: Bama wins

Who do you put in instead of Georgia?
Thank you! Offer up who you put in if you want to say Georgia shouldn’t be there. There isn’t a single team you can make a case for after Oklahoma State blew it today. And don’t give me Notre Dame.

The BCS was better than what we have now.... at least that was based on data.... not human beings with motives.

Well this isn’t that system and Iowa is NOT one of the four best teams this year. They don’t just have two losses. They got absolutely throttled in those two losses. Both to mediocre teams.

The true B1G Championship game was last week in Ann Arbor. If the B1G did it right, it would be Michigan vs tOSU again tonight.... those are the two best teams in the B1G by far. Then it's MSU after that.

Your takes are...something.

Its not perfect but it'd probably be the most fair system. Less bias involved to just have the best 4 conference champions. Worth noting though if these were the rules it might have driven ND into jumping into the ACC fully by now, to get a path into the playoff. They would have likely won the ACC this year

Alabama, Cincy, Baylor, Notre Dame\Iowa would be interesting

yeah I believe it's up to the conference to determine who their best team is

I agree with the premise that ohio state is likely the most talented team in the big 10 with the best chance to win in the playoff

however if the big 10 doesn't crown them champions because they didn't earn it, then I think the only team that deserves to get in is the champion

then because there's only 4 slots you have to then decide whether the big 10 deserves a seat at the table

if the big 10 wants a new way to crown a champion, then it's up to them to do that

Who cares. The point is to crown the champion, not the team that wins the most exciting matchup.

This reminds me of iirc the last time I watched the Super Bowl with friends...2013?

The Ravens took a safety late to avoid punting and giving San Fransisco a short field to work with. This is a basic smart football move to win any game.

My friends starting ******** because of how 'boring' of an ending it was and how it was the team's job to entertain us since it was the Super Bowl.

I had to explain that John Harbaugh loses his job if he punts there and loses the game and they don't give a **** how entertaining it is, haha.
