***CFB Conference Championship Games Thread***

I think with the playoff you could make an argument that a significant part of the regular season doesn't matter as much anymore

these games used to mean something -- you lost and you were out

You don't get it do you?

What is the over/under on the number of trick plays Iowa tries tonight?

Most likely they won't be able to move the ball.... so they will have to try something.

I do get it

the media companies have signed large contracts with the sec and those teams will get benefit of the doubt and not be held to the same standard as other teams

I'm not arguing that georgia has a bad team - if you look at recruiting classes they sign the top recruits

I just don't want to watch a rematch for the millionth time and see georgia lose to alabama again and other teams getting screwed out of opportunities to get into the playoff

also I don't like having a bunch of pointless games at the end of the season

just put in the teams with the top 4 recruiting classes in a playoff and forget the whole regular season

Who do you put in instead of Georgia?

If we assume that the semis are Alabama/Cincinnati and Michigan/Georgia, that leaves:

Rose: Ohio State vs Utah
Sugar: Baylor vs Ole Miss

Fiesta/Peach: Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Michigan State, and the Pitt/Wake winner

Most important thing about the Big10 championship. Michigan needs to close this thing out before the tip time of the important game tonight.

Michigan will try more.

And it will be when they just need like 2 yards to move the sticks.

Think Manning vs. Oklahoma.

To the Big10, this won't happen if you don't get the damn band off the field and play the game.

Why? I might check in because football is football but the result won't matter.

Of course living out of state helps.
