***CFB Conference Championship Games Thread***

Analytics nerds and the coaches who crave their acceptance want a pat on the back so bad that they put their teams in terrible situations.

Just a moronic move by Aranda. Games and sports have context that can't be measured in numbers. Confidence and psychology are 100% real. Don't let some dork who's never played a game tell you otherwise.

Isn't the Atlanta Braves manager an old school, trust your gut sort of guy?

How did that work out?

We can safely say that decision to go for it was made in preparing for the game.

Ugh. Oklahoma State potentially going to the playoff with their ONLY LOSS being to the Cyclones is going to be a real making out with your sister moment (Roll Tide!).

I suppose it's slightly better than if Baylor wins, but not by much.

ISU lost 4 conference games.

It's the arrogance from the analytics guys that drives me crazy. Football is played by humans, and you can't coach using spreadsheets.
Kind of agree, but analytics are absolutely valuable. Now you need to know how to implement it effectively

Agreed. But going for it on 4th down and getting stopped and immediately putting your defense's back against the wall takes an emotional toll on your team. Up 15 with everything going their way, and Aranda lets OSU back in the game.
