Scott Drew? I know it’s a different sport, but while it doesn’t seem possible, he inherited a worse situation than Aranda did, and just won a natty. Private institution too, so have no idea how much he’s getting paid.

Agreed. But going for it on 4th down and getting stopped and immediately putting your defense's back against the wall takes an emotional toll on your team. Up 15 with everything going their way, and Aranda lets OSU back in the game.
