CMC IS THIRD CHOICE? I cant agree. He has lots of head coaching experience including at a power 5. Neither of the other two mentioned do. Won more than EVERYONE expected at ISU. I am afraid he could be number one option for ND.

If there really is a player's only meeting, we're ******.
There has been no official announcement about BK being hired at LSU yet and you think it’s logical CMC is calling his players in to tell them he gone? That cart is just a little ahead of the horse.

I love what CMC has done here and hope we get 10 more years of it. But some of us need to take off the cardinal rose glasses and realize that maybe we see him as bigger than he is to other people. Maybe he does want ND or OSU. Doesn’t make it reciprocal. I want Scarlett Johansson and an unlimited supply of Little Debbie Christmas tree snack cakes….but that ain’t happening. Those snake cakes are made in limited supply.

If the Notre Dame job goes to Campbell we really can't be anything but happy for the man.

No idea if he's a top candidate. Not 100% sure Kelly is leaving ND in the first place.

But if everything clicks and Matt wants and gets the job I have to be happy for the man.

He would be OUTSTANDING at Notre Dame

ESPN wouldn't print this without Kelly being LSU bound

Kelly has told ND he's leaving. So he's gone.

I can't believe he cited that garbage tax argument that loser OU fans were making all day.

I'm a big Pollard guy but when he gets wound up he says some really off the wall stuff.

Ha, I saw some OU fans on twitter talking about the difference in gas prices between LA and Norman. I mean, its true - but not sure someone who makes $115 million is too concerned about $5/gallon gas.

Freeman and Fickell. He might not be third but ND will have plenty of options.

Yeah…how much do taxes really matter when you’re talking $8-10 million? At that point you have way more money than anyone can reasonably spend no matter what percentage the state taxes are. And if you’re just taking a job because of one state’s taxes being lower, that’s really weird and shows you’re not really in the job for the right reasons.

Really? I have heard discussions on national sports talk programs that professional athletes sometimes limit where they are open to going because of the excessive taxation in some states.

That just seems obnoxious. But it’s their life.

Not only is he going to make that, it’s not like he’s starting from a baseline of $0. He’s been making millions for years.

Because he can text for that. He's not an *******, so I assume he'd tell the players in person if he were leaving.

It doesn't really matter because there is no meeting apparently tonight. But if there is one, he's gone.

He's just going to text the team?

'Hey guys, I'm staying'.
