That's not a great analogy. With the legal position defined by Bob Bowlsby -- most didn't expect anything regarding ISU to the B1G until this legal uncertainty was/is-yet-to-be cleared up. That ended for the time being any and all mention of this by people actually in the know.
Not only that, as a result of the legal and other related uncertainty, there probably isn't anything that could reported right now anyway. Anything concrete.
I get what you are saying in the first sentence, though.
I very much hope Coach Campbell stays, and I believe it more likely than not that he will. A big new wild card, however, is not only conference realignment -- but what everyone has learned since all this talk began again just this year. USC apparently holds the keystone in the Pac 12. They will continue to whether Campbell were to leave to coach there or not -- even regardless of the results on the field. But it sounds like there is a strong possibility that USC might be aligned with the B1G in the future.
