I’m not convinced they’ll rank Cincy even in the top 10. The highest UCF ever got was #7.
Cincy will get in if they win out and Notre Dame wins out. Notre Dame's schedule the rest of the way is pretty light. @ Virginia may be one to watch. If they don't under that scenario the College Football Playoff committee should be arrested.

Maybe. Ohio St. struggled against an overrated Penn St. But, you have a point. It's Ohio St. ESPN will try to get them in at all costs. I mean, they're ranked higher than Oregon, who owned them in Columbus.
ESPN is already downplaying Cincy. Just now at half of the UVA/BYU game. “Cincy only won beat Tulane by 19. Is it enough to impress the committee? I don’t think so”
Nevermind that OU only beat Tulane by 5!
I still think the new Big 12 is going to be a far inferior conference and the lack of exposure will continue to hurt it.
All the talking they did during the week, I enjoyed that game yesterday. They remind me of another Big 10 fanbase.

All of our losses so far this year have been to the “new Big 12” conference members. Not sure we’d even be in the top tier of the new Big 12 either.
Well, of course this mess of a new Big 12 is the best option. But I don't think it is a good option.
You think the national media is suddenly going to respect Cincinnati once they are in the Big 12? Of course not, they will say the same **** that they do now.
We have the second most wins over the past 4 plus years in the Big 12. We'll still be highly thought of (assuming we keep our coach).

Sure, it sucks to lose two big national brands, but all the complaining about how “inferior” the expanded Big 12 will be misses the point. What else could have possibly happened? OU and Texas are out … would it be better to struggle along with the 8 leftovers (no) or all jump to the AAC like ESPN wanted (no) or, what, go independent (lol no)?
I think adding Cincy/BYU/Houston/UCF is about the best possible outcome, given the choices presented. That’s not a bad athletic conference.
I agree completely. They don't want to rank Cincy as it is, yet they've made it up to #2 in a conference that we can agree is far inferior to what the new Big 12 is going to be. We may not be getting as much respect as before, but I don't think it's going to be a huge drop. After all, it's not as though we're getting as much as the Big 12 should be getting right now
. The fact that Oregon is ranked above Oklahoma State is criminal. In the end, familiarity will settle in, as it always does, and the Big 12 will remain among the echelons of the P5, because in the end, we're better than the ACC and the Pac-12 year in and out, even without Oklahoma.
