I feel like once a year for shoes if I use them regularly enough. I get Brooks for support issues and they're great but it seems like they fade quickly.
I recently bought a pair of brooks for working out. Never had them, usually an ASICS guy but my daughter tells me their hideous. I like the feel of the brooks but they feel like they wouldn’t hold up in the summer when I do longer distance running.

How often do people replace running/walking shoes? Always buy ASICS. Bought a pair specifically for workouts and within 6 months the tread that align with the balls of my feet are completely worn down. Seems fast, but I’ve never just had shoes to workout in before.
How fat are you?

I love how Brooks feel on my feet. I don’t run, just walk. Had mine since June 2019. Need to go look for a new pair.

Yeah they seem fine overall but I do feel like I go through them quickly.

ASICS never worked for me-their design leads to digging into my achiles area.

I had thought the rule of thumb was about 500 miles on runners, but I always just toss when they feel worn out. Way too many issues can be caused by bad shoes that I don't tempt fate to save a little money stretching them. Plus you're investing in living longer.

Don’t untie them then. To the “stick it in, swivel it around till the whole thing goes in” maneuver like me. The heel breaks down a little eventually and might not bug you as much.

Cue up Canned Heat and On the Road Again. Slapped old tire on to replace blowout and hit my mileage goal floor today . Anything more past September is just bonus miles. Okay, 1000 is modest by young guy and "serious biker" standards but I'm 70 and they were good fitness rides.

Hoping for a weather friendly October aka Octember.

Holy EF. Bank tells me I can't dispute the Hobby Lobby bill due to it being pending still and not charged. Okay, I will go in tomorrow. Mention it to the wife tonight that I can't dispute it while it's pending and then she gets out a debit card and says that yes she did charge that amount to a card. Said she told me yes when I asked. I reread the texts and asked what part of asking if our suburban could pull a hayrack means the phrase yes. Then get told it was too long of a story so she couldn't text it. I reread that I texted it was fine if she did, I was just wanting to know since it was an out of the ordinary situation, not my best decision.

In the end, it appears it is apparently my fault she found a debit card somewhere and randomly used it and I need to know that a question about a hayrack means yes from now on. Now go into the bank and tell them to forget it tomorrow.

Oh, my. You two maybe need to talk instead of text…?
If there's one thing I've learned from 23 years of marriage it is that BC just needs to accept that he is wrong.

In December we will be 24 years. I accepted around year 10. Around 18-19 years I figured nobody was going anywhere and she is t really listening to me so I can basically speak freely. Besides, I’m known as the person who will be blunt and speak what I think anyhow so why quit.

Fatter than I should be. Wife told me she goes through a pair every 6 months. You want me to inform her you got a question for her? ;).

I can usually tell they're starting to go when my hips etc. start to get sore.

One time in college, I made a comment to a heavier set gal in a social setting that ended up coming out way more dickheaded than I meant it to be. That woman put the fear of god in me, rightfully so, and basically threatened to sodomize me with various items found in dorm rooms. I learned a good lesson that day and will never, ever be making a comment remotely close to that again.

Any accountants on here? I have a simple question for W4. Should me and my wife both be selecting the box on step 2? We both work and there is only a small difference in each of our incomes. The way I'm reading it, it would be yes but I'm bad at this stuff.

@isufbcurt, I think this is your domain. TIA

Not going to make this political but I feel comfortable enough to share this here.

My cousins husband has been in Mary Greely with COVID. Had been doing well, sustaining on bi-pap and improving but had to be intubated yesterday and now is apparently getting airlifted to the U (Nothing airborne as of yet though). Around 40 father of 4 young kids, unvaccinated. alsdkgj a;lsidjf;asjdf;aslkjdfpl

Well ferk, hope he pulls thru.
