First impression, from just the look, is they’ve taken a cookie cutter to it. Everything about the dark, grimy, WWE’s answer to the “indy scene” atmosphere has been sterilized to the point where visually it now looks like another Raw/SD clone. The wrestling and storylines don’t appear to be altered yet, but we’ll see where that all goes in the next few weeks. But I am certainly not a fan of the new look.

I have been watching AEW lately and they are killing it, but there is going to be a reckoning before long. Eventually they are going to run out of room/time for everyone they have. Some people are going to get squeezed out. For instance All Out was a fantastic PPV but it was missing Adam Page, Orange Cassidy, FTR, The Dark Order, Andrade and PAC just to name a few. They tell fantastic stories.

There is no reason you have to choose a side. Hopefully this is a long over due wake up for WWE and we get 2 successful brands and everybody wins.

I agree. I haven't really been watching, no cable, but keep up with the ongoing. They are just taking on A LOT of talent, and not everyone is going to get there proper time. I'm not a huge wrestling guy anymore but I enjoyed the beginning more when it was a few people I knew (huge Jerichaholic), and a bunch of people I didn't who I can't believe how good they were in the ring and on the mic.

It's amazing what people can do when they get away from wwe creative. Already Black and Ruby have done more in their brief AEW time than all of their wwe tenure. And Miro's redeemer character is ****ing outstanding.

Agree, this a blah ppv. Something to be said for AEW's model of a few major ppvs and along the way to those ppv's having some HIGH quality material on their weekly shows. At least they finally stopped giving us the foreign language overlay of the wwe announcers.
