All this story does is make we worry about my young daughters......

Trust me as parents of a daughter in her early 20 who travels all over for modeling gigs we've had numerous worrisome moments. Especially when she has lived so far away (LA, Phoenix, London and now lives in Chicago).

Luckily all have been nothings but when she was supposed to check in at 10 PM but didn't, you can't help but lay in bed trying to sleep with all sorts of bad stuff running in your head. Then all the sudden you get the call that she's fine just fell asleep and her phone died.

Or the time she lived in LA and her work called on a Sunday morning because she didn't show up and no one can get a hold of her. She ended up getting sick and felt so bad she didn't have the energy to call or text.

It's to the point that my wife keeps me a little in the dark about what she's up to so I don't get worried and I try to keep stories like the topic of this thread from my wife so she doesn't get worried.

It's good that my wife and step daughter have a good relationship in which they connect numerous times a day whether it be via text, call or instagram.

Maybe this was posted earlier, I'm too lazy to check. Consider the source before taking any stock.

I'm disappointed in the lack of rampant speculation in this thread, ha ha! Why are people being so objective and reserving judgement??

It seems pretty clear to me what happened here, but what I'm really obsessing over is a catalyst: what the hell happened around August 12th? They go from a seemingly blissful couple to attacking each other almost overnight.

Just spit-balling: I suspect Gabby may have had another suitor in her life. Brian probably found out by going through her personal media. He may have had access to her phone based on the suspicious final text messages.

To this point, however, the media has not done much digging into their recent past- yet.

They get in a fight and he pushes her and she falls and hits her head on a rock. He panics and takes off leaving her for dead.

Hopefully a gator starts with his toes and works its way up slowly.

Yes; along with his jealousy issues. To be clear, I'm not "victim blaming."

"He's just crazy" is too simple of an explanation for me to accept. He had her all to himself out in the wilderness. I assume you're referring to this info:

So far, not much else has surfaced about his mental health.

I am referring to how Gabby told her friend that he had mental issues and was hearing voices

Oh you mean that an argument broke out several days in to a cross country trip where you're spending every waking second with only one other person?

The fact that the argument escalated to violence suggests issues but the fact that there was an argument is the least surprising aspect of the story.

i don’t think that’s all. Just from a purely human perspective- it looks like he doesn’t care about her whereabouts AT ALL. If you’re loved one is missing you do everything in your power to make sure they are found safely. He didn’t just not talk to the cops, he also hid that she was missing from her parents.

it is definitely his right to not talk to the cops, but it doesn’t free him from criticism or suspicion. And his actions are suspicious as ****.

He might not care about her whereabouts. She might have just told him she’s had a side piece for the past two years plus details.

Now beyond that his going “missing” in some Florida nature preserve at this time isfully suspicious and he probably killed Ms. Petito. However I am glad that their formulaically ****** YouTube channel can’t go any further.

If she fears him, I doubt she would be so blatant.

However- after spending a month alone with him, she definitely could have been having multiple private conversations with folks back home looking for a way out. Unfortunately for her, I’d bet he would have forcefully uncovered those conversations and lost his ****. Raiding a woman’s text messages is a good way to get your eyes clawed out…
