Wind gods are very angry at me again. Gusting to 33 mph. Woof.
And just to rub it in Facebook just did this "Two years ago today" thingie for me:
"Almost perfect weather today. 82 degrees, reasonable dew point (not humid) and almost no wind. Made for best ride of the year."
Slugged out 26 miles. Damn, dat wind, 21 mph with gusts to 36 mph for part of the ride.
Took a short break at mile 20 and spied topless hardbody gal in skimpy thong doing planks at Cedar Lake Beach. Added interest to the otherwise work work work ride. She had to be an ex-gymnast or maybe a fitness model.
Note to self: do more core exercises!

With just a month to go, Simpson syllabus is finally finished. That's a load off. I hate being anything but way, way ahead.

Had a couple of private showings today. One of which is very promising so hopefully something pans out there. Went to a couple of open houses and one private showing of one we were really interested in. Of course it was smokers that ruined it all. MrsWx got a headache from it and there was a yellow tint on what we imagine was white trim. So frustrating.
So today was my best friend's wedding. Full but fun day. Getting all dressed up isn't a regular look on me and had issues with my tux pants and ultimately had to go buy suspenders to keep them up. Also had to give a toast. The other 3 had something written prepared I went with my feelings from my heart and stumbled a few times trying to get the right words from my brain to my mouth.
There was just 3 dances. My buddy and his bride to At Last by Etta James and then my buddy and his sister and the bride and her brother to Louis Armstrong's What a Beautiful World. Now that song alone can get tears going for me but it was even more emotional knowing it should have been my friend with his mom and his bride with her dad. My buddy lost his mom to cancer last summer and earlier this year his bride to be lost her dad to a sudden heart attack.

The bridesmaid you escorted, was she single? If so you gotta tell us you got her number, Facebook handle, Twitter name or whatever you youngins’ do now. My excitement comes from my single friends rulzzz, don’t let me down.
Sicario is a terrific movie. The scene where they drive into and out of Mexico is so nerve-wracking.
We watched our 5 and 6 year old niece and nephew this weekend. Here's a conversation that you only have with somebody that is about 5:
Mrs JC: "That's where my friend Stacy lives."
Niece: "Who's Stacy?"
Me: "She's a teacher."
Niece: "She's a teacher? Or is she a woodpecker?"
Mrs JC: "That's where my friend Stacy lives."
