They got away from some of the very fundamental philosophies that contributed to their long term success. Scholarship limits and roster reductions didn’t help either.
Bielema is going to do well at Illinois. It’s a perfect setup for him.

I haven't forgiven Bielema for being a chicken ****, but Illinois looks like a fundamentally sound team. Everyone played within themselves, did their jobs and didn't turn the ball over.
I'm all for loling Nebraska but ISU fans aren't in place to make fun of other teams for their kicking problems.
If Martinez could only hit an open receiver. On the drive they settled for a fg he had a guy wide open for a TD. Right before the fumble for a TD he had a guy wide open for a play that would of gotten about 40 yards.
Huskers lost to a QB that couldn't win the starting QB position at Rutgers.
Again - nobody, not even the fans of these Pac12 teams care.
