Yes to pods, but don't bother with the divisions. The CCG should just be #1 vs #2 by record, period.
The Big 10 grabs every available Power 5 AAU school west of the Mississippi River. It becomes the Big 24 Superconference, composed of three conferences -- the Eastern 8 Conference (Rutgers, Maryland, Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Indiana, and Purdue), the Midwestern 8 Conference (Illinois, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Iowa State, Nebraska, and Kansas), and the Western 8 Conference (Colorado, Utah, Washington, Oregon, Stanford, Cal, USC, and UCLA). If not checkmate, at least check, over the SEC/ESPN.
If this happens I hope they shuffle divisons and iowa joins Ohio states. MuhahahaPeople around KU are starting to think they're getting a Big 10 invite and there will be something announced soon.
That would be very interesting and could go either way for ISU.
we are blackIowa state vs USC . Same uniforms. That would be nice at Jack Trice
Manifest DestinyI like the idea of merging with the Pac 12. What would we call it? The Pac 20? The Western Conference?
Also, did anybody notice CBS's preseason rankings? ISU #6. Nice.
What's bigger than big? Rub it in the B1G a bit.
MEGA 20
LARGE 20
HUGE 20
COLOSSAL 20
MAMMOTH 20
WEIGHTY 20
FAR-REACHING 20
You all are making this renaming too difficult.
Just combine the first half of their name with the second half of our name and there you go. That way both conferences are happy. Or even do vice versa.
I thought I read somewhere that Nebraska was an AAU member at the time, but lost or relinquished it’s status after joining the league. Pissed off the rest of the Big10.How'd Nebraska get in there they're not AAU. Swap out Nebraska for Arizona.

Thanks for the clarification. At the time of the invitation, Nebraska had the AAU status but knew they would be losing it. Big 10 members were well aware of this at the time.
