Weren’t you instrumental in getting the first ISU plates in Texas?

No no, I was just one of the ones that first signed up for it. I wouldn't call that an instrumental part. That was the leaders of the DFW and Austin Cyclone clubs that did all the heavy lifting!

I remember you being part of the first group. Kudos to the DFW and Austin Cyclone Clubs for making such a cool thing possible for Cyclone fans who have been banished to the no man's land between the US and Mexico.

Those are pretty cool. I don't really mind our in Iowa either.

I do find it funny how it's hard to tell the difference between the UNI ones and the Iowa ones from afar. Then I realized that it's actually pretty appropriate for the fanbases. :jimlad:

Exactly, offering UNI plates is kind of a waste. I've seen a couple around here that reference the Vikings which seems like the only use for them...

EDIT: the state of Texas offering ISU plates is very, very cool. And Texas Cyclones getting them are very cool too.

I've seen several UNI plates that are personalized to reference their hawkdom. Didn't see that coming.

It was actually the Alumni Association who spearheaded the effort and designed the plates. The clubs were very helpful in getting the word out to reach the 200 plate minimum though.
