There was a bobcat putting down lime rock between the south entrance to the new football locker room and the west end of the tunnel. These photos show the progress before and after:

There is even some yellow caution tape along the side of the gravel. Is this prep work for official visitors to experience the game day walk to the field? :)

You beat me by three minutes!

I’m pretty sure it’s specifically so the official visitors don’t have to walk in the dirt between touring the SPC and the field—via the tunnel.

I feel your pain. When I was editing those photos I kept thinking, all this work and somebody else will post it first. If it makes you any feel better, you did beat me with the pumper truck.;)

Just had a thought. Are they going to keep the camera on this weekend so we can see the visitors walk out of the new football locker room?

Maybe they will leave the camera on? I just noticed they repositioned the camera so the locker room doors are front and center!

The camera is on 24/7, seven days a week. And I believe the OV’s are already on campus, meeting with academic folks. Like, since noon today.

Good luck monitoring that camera!

I was thinking they may focus the camera on a piece of dirt on the hillside so we can't see anything interesting. But I did notice they repositioned the camera with the locker room doors in the center, so maybe they plan to keep it there. :)

Did a quick drive by today, was late for an appointment so it was fast. I did notice they are putting up the safety rails on the elevated walkway in front of the Jake, and have a good portion of the exterior ramp on the NE poured, although they had a Bobcat working on grading the very top and bottom. The safety railing looks good, but nothing exceptional, top and bottom rail and verticals probably at 4" centers but that is a guess. They looked like they might be stainless steel, but was observing from a distance and did not stop.

There is something oddly hypnotic on a Saturday morning watching a lone bulldozer move up and down the NW hillside smoothing out beautiful topsoil.
I was late to the party. First thing I noticed was that the bulldozer parked on the hillside was gone—and then a dump truck pulled up by the pile of topsoil out front.

I guess I can hardly be surprised someone is working outdoors on a Saturday. They must be wanting to get the irrigation in on the NW hillside as well, so the sod can go down.

I can set anyone up for the rest of the summer. Lol
Edit: Must pass Saturday morning field sobriety test first.
What’s funny about that is that the restriction is in place due the high likely hood that there was a negative incident for your business caused by it not being in place.

I can see a skid loader moving brown soul on the NW concourse, and there’s a backhoe in front of the Jake that just loaded a side dumper, but I can’t tell what it’s doing now.
