@ChrisMWilliams on the Sunday night CF podcast with Stanz (filling in for Blum) stated that JCL seems to be trending on coming back to Ames for another season. That really helps for two reasons -

1) He's a proven 3 point shooter (40% last year)
2) Big 12 body. This is especially important with a likely freshman PG who will likely need time to adjust

I'd argue that JCL was the best player for ISU last year from February onward.

Starting lineup would look a lot better

PG: Hunter
SG: JCL
Wing/stretch: Jaz
Wing/stretch: Hinson
5: Foster

Bench:
Conditt
Johnson
Walker
Jackson
Jones

That roster can get to .500 in league play with health and some league help this off-season (transfers out and such)

That would be huge. Definitely hope he does. He deserves to go out on a higher note than that.

When are we going to hear about Bolton?

i would strongly disagree with that, but good news we still have a few scholarships open to upgrade...

If you made me pick between JCL or Bolton back for 2021/22... I'd say JCL. I say that mostly because of Bolton's size. I'd rather not have Hunter (6'1" 175 lbs, probably about 6' tall) and Bolton who is also smaller be the two starting wings.. JCL can guard 1-4 for most 4 out teams. Bolton can only guard 1-2 for most teams

Stop this.

With health and the Big 12 falling off a little. Not out of the question.

PG w/ Hunter could be a BIG upgrade
SG could be a 7th year player. JCL was our best player from Feb onward
Wing/Stretch: Jaz and Hinson would be VERY large increases from Javon Johnson
Center: Having a healthy Foster would be amazing

Also get Conditt into a system with a pass first PG. He THRIVED in that system before Hali got hurt last year

Bench includes 3 starters from the 2020/21 team.

JCL is only 1 inch taller than Bolton
