Whew...what a thread. It has taken me about 4 days, but I have read this entire thread all the way back to the beginning. Growing up, I liked comic books for the art work, but never read them, and didn’t think I’d ever watch these movies. Wife and I watched the original Iron Man when it came out and the first couple of X-Men, but that was about it.

Fast forward, and probably due to Covid, we have watched pretty much everything now, and consider ourselves fans of the genre overall, and thought I was ready to read this thread in it’s entirety. Bravo to the regular contributors. Really good thread and amazing how spoilers were kept in check throughout. I did plow through the last 20 or so pages tough, because it did seem there was more discussion about WandaVision than I wanted to see. We haven’t started that yet.

Anyway...wanted to stop by and say “hi” as I might be dropping in from now on going forward. I’m “all in” on this **** now :)

Tuschee my fiend.... tuschee. That is a lot of reading and watching.. Quite impressive. Glad to have you. All are welcome.

We just watched it, which is why I had to hunt this thread down. I feel like this shows been in development for so long, all the names coming up are no longer a surprise, such as the reveal at the end of the episode. I’m guessing that was supposed to have a much larger impact last year.

Solid first episode regardless. I was invested the whole way through, and it felt a lot closer to what people expected an MCU television show to be like.

Really liked the start of Falcon and Winter Soldier. This already has the tone of the typical MCU movie/show unlike WandaVision. I think it was pretty easy to see how the episode would end, so will be fun to see how things go from here. Also fun to see some other characters pop up in this one that people will recognize.

Love the articles I keep coming across, “Marvel Fans FURIOUS about the New Captain America!”

I think anyone with half a brain knows that they’re not recasting Cap with this doof. How much of a villain he turns out to be remains to be seen, but it’s pretty clear you’re not meant to like him…

It’s was good, but predictable. The action style Captain America movies are my least favorite so we’ll see

I’m still in love with WandaVision I guess lol

Opening action sequence was ridiculous but fun and worthy of the big screen. I really like how these shows are making me much more invested in these characters. Never cared much for Wanda and Vision but Wandavision made them two of my favorites. I can already tell this show is going to do the same for Falcon and Winter Soldier. I really didn't care much for Falcon at all in the movies but like his character much more in this first show.

This is what I like about the D+ series a lot. Wanda and Vision were almost afterthought characters when they rolled out in Age of Ultron. They got the opportunity to add a ton of depth to the characters and launch them forward for MCU Stage 4.

They will do the same thing with FatWS. I especially like the idea that the interaction between the two will have sort of a buddy cop movie vibe. That should be fun.

They may have been afterthought but they were essential to where the enterprise was headed.

Cap meets him in his veterans support group. He is already the Falcon when Cap meets him. But they have to steal the flight suit when Cap and Nat decide to take on Hydra. The first time you see him in the suit is when they throw the guy off the roof.

I got more excited about it when I watched Civil War a few weeks ago. Just watched the first episode last night. It was a lot of fun and kind of what I was hoping for. That said I like the Winter Soldier/Bucky character a lot.
