By far, my biggest 'what to do with' guy is Javan. He baffled me all year. One minute you see the talent oozing from him and the next minute you can't believe how poor his shot selection, ball security, and decision making was.

If they can build around bolton, foster, hinton and add hunter plus a 3 point sharp shooter this would be a much better starting lineup. then keep conditt and walker plus either harris or jackson ( not both) and one of dubar, johnson or blackwell would be a good start for the bench. JCL could be the wildcard but would love to see TJ add coach green from uni plus his son but tgat is probably a pipe dream

You had a team that lacked any sort of discipline last year. If Otz can add discipline to the roster, we can be a much better team. Expectations need to be higher for the players. I think Prohm had a problem of putting expectations on himself and expecting the players to learn from mistakes they made without pulling their playing time. I hope Otz holds players accountable for their actions on the court, that itself, will make us a much better team.

Lol, I have a better chance of being in the starting lineup next year than Marcus Carr. You guys have no clue how heavily recruited he'll be. He'll be the most sought after transfer in the last 15-20 years.

So. I''ve been told more times than I can count of the recruiting prowess of TJ...especially in the transfer market. Now all of a sudden we don't stand a chance with someone right up I35 with all the playing time we can sell?

Guys that average 19 points in a Power 6 conference aren't going to a new school based on playing time. That's some delusional expectations if people think TJ will come in and need to get a player of that caliber.

Delusional expectations....for TJ? With what you and others were shoveling? How convenient now that it's set in stone you are scaling back your expectations. I was told this is going to be Hoiball 2.0. And he is exactly the Royce White, Chris Babb, Chris Allen, Korie Lucious, DeAndre Kane type of transfer Fred would have gone after and reeled in. Maybe with TJ doing some of the leg work.

I hope we have a few transfer out so TJ has some scholarships to hand out to big 12 level players. However, if they decide to stay I hope they develope and get their chance

Here's the thing, we are rebuilding. I will guarantee he is going somewhere he can win. When you have the personal accolades, all you're missing is the team ones. He will likely go somewhere where there are championship expectations next year. That or the NBA.

I like guys on our roster, but we need more talent to compete with the top of the Big 12. Hunter is a talent upgrade. Foster has the potential to be a talent upgrade. I think JCL was our best player late and it would be great if he came back one more year. Bolton will need to learn to play off the ball. This might be hard for him. I liked how George, Tre, and Tyler all played late, but I think they are bench guys in this league. Maybe Hinson is the answer at the four, but he is an unknown for us. I would like to see TJ get a stud transfer. We need some Alpha Dogs. We were outmatched at almost every position most games.

let’s start by winning a conference game. That would be a step forward.

I would encourage you to go back and watch some conference games this year. Jackson was CONSTANTLY getting burned on defense, could not get around screens, and was horrible on the glass. He absolutely is NOT a good defender.
Watching it once was more than enough for me. I think Harris is a better bench piece than Jackson.

Nobody's really mentioned Jaden Walker. I really liked the improvement he showed as the year went on. I think he may have even been the leading rebounder in one of our games. I was disappointed in Jackson, maybe it was the injury, but I think he was better last year and that isn't saying too much.
I like Walker, he makes the guys around him better. He should be a nice role player for us at a couple positions.

Best thing about freshman is they become sophomores.

Walker has a smoothness to his game thats fun to watch. He’s a guy that should take a big step forward due to his skill set, size and amount of PT he received.

Johnson has some potential. Hopefully Otz reigns him in instead of watching him take bad shots over and over and say nothing like Prohm.

He was terrible if he had to create his own shot. Passing to him as he attacked the basket had a much better chance of being successful.

I really like Jackson. I get the feeling that he is an awesome person. You never have to question his effort. His defense is solid. He was an awesome shooter in HS. We have seen flashes of that, but maybe TJ will give him the confidence to shoot like some of our sharp shooters of the past. I think he can be a good piece in the right role.

Maybe TJ will get our guys open catch and shoot looks.

I really like Walker’s potential. He seemed to be one of the few freshmen that didn’t look lost out there. I think he was a bit timid, but that’s expected from a freshmen.
