Gates, Grant, Tang, Smith, Devreis, Medved. I'd be happy with any of these. What do I know but if all things equal, Gates, Grant, Tang first. It would be the Jack Trice thing to do.

I’m just glad the TJ or Devires conversation ended and people realized there are good candidates available.

I was always told in prior customer service related job, that customer is always right (even though sometimes not). We fans are the customer. Fans perception is their perceived reality. Many if not most fans perceive TJ as a weaker coaching candidate. If JP hires TJ he likely will not have the initial support, interest and good will of the fans. Therefore a quick or even moderate turn-around becomes more difficult.

A charasmatic new coach, one with a style and identity that will get our fans excited, is what is needed. IMO we need a fresh start and a new face.

Enough said. UNLV should be more competitive and closer to the top of their conference by now, even if only TJ's second year there. If many now at UNLV don't want him, why should we? It's a red-flag.

The problem is I don’t think people here are the majority of the fans. I think most casual fans would be thrilled with TJ.

UNLV is like Texas. They have a bunch of rich entitled donors who think they should be better than they are. They haven’t made the tournament since 2013. They just aren’t that much better than the rest of their conference. TJ had them second in the conference last year and people think he’s the worst coach in the conference. What they think plays no factor in what we should think.

Neither team seems to be able to hit the basket tonight. I do think UNLV has flustered Queta a bit. If USU loses, they'll be out of the NCAA, UNLV has nothing to lose, and should go at them.

Bruce Weber is actually a fairly solid coach. His teams drop when the talent on his teams fall, but he’s had 2 Big 12 championships in 8 years. That’s better than a lot of coaches.

I’m not understanding the Medved interest. 1 year as an assistant at Minnesota and that’s his only P6 experience. 128-124 overall as a head coach. ZERO NCAA tournaments. ZERO NIT tournaments. 3 CIT tournaments in 8 years as a head coach.
