Coaching Search: Place your bets

Prohm would never hire a guy who could upstage him. Prohm is very insecure.

An assistant coach that is an asset and an expert teacher (at something basketball related) wouldn't upstage Prohm in this situation...it isn't/wasn't about personality...it was about building or not building a strong staff. That never has to include personality in the equation.

Yes . Probably can recruit since FSU always has good recruiting. Learned under a good coach and is proving to be a good head coach. Let’s get him

What's he supposed to say?

agree somewhat - it’s an odd response if you are fully committed to your current position. I don’t read much into it for us... yet...but he certainly isn’t committed to UNLV

He’s a straight shooter with Big 12 head coach material written all over him. TJ wants to be here. A lot of people have that on their list of “wants”.
Yes, a lot of people gave Prohm their hearts because he told them he wanted to be here. Not terribly important though.

From what I know of TJ, I rephrase it as he actually wants to win here. He knows the program and he knows himself. has a plan. He’ll do what it takes, including self-reflection and knowing his limitations.

If TJ wants to win here I would have no problem scheduling a home and home with UNLV and give him a crack at it against our new coach.

I can name at least 5 coaches that would be better than TJ and have proved it. If anyone has watched UNLV it’s the same nonsense we have been dealing with with Prohm. No defense, no rebounding, standing around on offense. No identity. If you watch UNLV you would swear Prohm is coaching them

I guess I would expect more of an answer then of...Steve Phrom is still the coach of ISU and I’m the coach of UNLV, we’re both preparing our teams for conference tournaments
