Anyone else hearing that JP has already decided Prohm is coming back?

I agree. Then we can agree that Fred Hoiberg isn't coming back. He is getting paid around $4M annually at Nebraska. So if Fred comes back, then Jamie is going to have to give CMC another raise!!

My point is why pay Nebraska a $10M buyout- it can be used on a name head coach or any number of facility improvement projects in the AD.

Again- IMO ISU will hire a mid-major HC or P5 assistant making $2-3M.

holy **** dude. How can I make this simple so you can figure it out?

Donors will pony up buyout for FRED. Just Fred, no one else, it’s not a blank check to the AD. It’s to buy out Fred. If that money is not used to buyout Fred, then that money doesn’t exist. Make sense?

Not sure what was so difficult to understand about this.

When he had the option of being in Chicago and coaching the Bulls, you're correct ;)
Right? Double the salary and live somewhere way cooler? I mean i love Ames, but if you are making 5 million per year, a city like Chicago has way more options for well, everything. Fine dining..... Lol. Eat at some of the top restaurants in the world, or aunt maudes....

Why hasn't anyone mentioned Fran(#Sarcasm)...we could steal him from TOE. He and his family seem like a high character group with lots of play-in game experience. I mean, you know his guys will be here 4 or 5 years and never go pro early... Fred's not coming back either ... FYI

You guys are day drinking...admit it!

While reading tea leaves this is my understanding (feel free to correct me if I am wrong)

The Donors that suck up to Jamie prefer Fred.

The Donor/s that are All Ball prefer TJ.

Am I doing this right?

I dont have anything against maudes, but $50 a plate as like the fanciest place to eat in the city or a multi course meal in chicago at alinea or some other top rated restaurant. I doubt it compares.

Fancy restaurants are for dorks. Food is just fuel for me, except for pizza. Pizza is a delicacy that I savor. Casey’s is all the way to Dayton now. I’ll probably drive the 2.5 Hr. round trip next week at some point.

My point was that when he was done with the Bulls, he wanted the ISU job, not the Nebraska job. He was not looking at Nebraska as the place he really wanted to coach, it’s the one that ended up making the most sense in the end for him.

Had Steve left for Alabama, things would be different.
I like to think if Prohm went to Bama we would have hired Nate Oates. Huge miss there as Oates is the real deal.
