Anyone else hearing that JP has already decided Prohm is coming back?

Fred hasn’t won with either his players or the previous coach’s players. Hoiberg is on thin ice at Nebraska. Don’t bail out the Huskers.
Meanwhile we are hoping New Mexico bails us out...

What if Nebraska does the same for us? What if Nebraska wants to move on and waives the buyout for us?

We will definitely waive buyout if New Mexico bails us out. Nebraska would likely jump at the deal for us to bail them out. Why wouldn’t they?

Any chance we could entice Herman for another 3-year sentence? It wouldn't be dull. Sports is mostly for entertainment after all...

It’s up to the poster that I asked the question to. It’s their list not mine. Also the buyout isn’t a problem, that doesn’t come out of JP’s budget.

There are three potential barriers to Fred coming back.

(1.) Does Fred want to?

(2.) Does Pollard want him?

(3.) Can somebody -- doesn't matter who really, just somebody -- afford to buyout Prohm in Ames, Hoiberg in Lincoln, and take care of the salary expectations Fred would undoubtedly have in coming home?

That could be $15ish million in the first year.

I don't think we have a great grip on any of these three, yet Fred is going to keep coming up until it's no longer possible.

You know more about this stuff than I do.

Reading that article from Omaha.com I did a double-take on this line, "Allen finished with 41, one shy of Piatkowski’s 42 in the 1994 Big Eight tournament against Oklahoma."

"But Nebraska wasn't in the Big 8?? I thought to myself."

"Hi my name is Dave...and I'm a cyclone addict. I feel that this is a moment of healing as a son of a Cyclone addict."

That would be one the criteria for this pipe dream to become reality. Two other important ones are-- Does Fred really want to coach in Ames, and does JP even want him?

if there is even the slightest wisp of smoke around this, then fred has let certain people know he’d be at least amenable to listening to an offer to come back.

if that’s the case, and all that money is there, pollard will eventually have no choice

Doesnt need to happen. Multiple people have sources saying that big donors would line up to take care of it.
