Anyone else hearing that JP has already decided Prohm is coming back?

Or a top 10 football program

But that's my point. My passion is ISU basketball, not ISU football. I donated to Cyclone Club and purchased season basketball tickets when moving back to Iowa and DSM area 15 years ago. I didn't buy football season tickets until Chizek was hired. I discontinued FB season tickets when I moved about 3 hours from Ames a couple years ago.

So if I am not buying basketball season tickets, I have a tough time justifying my Cyclone Club payment. If I decide to continue donating to ISU, I would get greater satisfaction donating to the College of Business OR more likely a local charity that will have an impact on the community I live.

That's good for you. Football is king though. As long as Campbell is here next year donations aren't going to be meaningfully impacted by what happens with Prohm.

Your right. But what if Campbell isn't here forever? The next coach could take ISU back to historical levels.

IMO if Jamie Pollard wants to maximize Cyclone Club revenue and football/basketball season ticket revenue- then it makes sense for ISU to be solid in both sports.

Some schools can choose to be a football school because they can sell 75-100k football season tickets. ISU isn't there yet and may never be there. So IMO it is critical to have 2 solid sports where we can sell 65,000 FB ticktets and 14,000 basketball season tickets.

The revenue from men's basketball is counted on to fund several other sports, or even to make up the deficit from women's basketball every year, which I believe is around $2 mil.
