Went out for attack 2 on the snow. Some young guy was going around with his dad's snowblower trying to make some money. He said $20 so I said have at it. I stayed out and shoveled more if the road to hopefully not get plowed in. Then went across the street to shovel out the neighbors driveway being that it got really plowed in.

$20, man, I would consider for that amount. I’d be lucky to get 10 with the cheap asses around me.

I am so frustrated with ESPN. My personal opinion is they have been trending bad for years with their propensity to miss action on the court because they have to do the hero shot of the player who just made a play or show the coach, the bench or the crowd while there is action on the floor. Or worse yet cover up the action with some advertising for a future ESPN game or event. Tonight's game was just about the last straw for me. They had to make the night so much about an Okie State player - who wasn't even playing - that they had to resort to a split screen so we could all see how well he wears his mask while trying to stay awake watching his team. I realize this wasn't a great game, but don't they realize that people who tune in do so to watch a basketball game not to get the thoughts of some C grade announcers on who is the overall #1 pick in the next NBA draft? At least pay a little lip service to talking about the game that people are tuning in to see once in a while.

The best thing to happen in the game tonight was Spatola's mic going out for a good chunk of the second half.

Darn unplanned trips killed my over/under of 12 miles for the Audi this month. Was figuring two 6 mile roundtrips for groceries. First had to drive to Menards for a space heater when furnace went belly up. Than coffee maker croaked and I had to drive a whopping 11 miles roundtrip to Target for a new java brewer. Could not wait a couple days for Amazon, must have coffee in the morning. Every morning. At this rate I am going to be a 29 miles!

Maybe I'll make a wine and beer run curbside pickup this week and just go for 40 miles/month.

I'm glad I did. We most likely got another 4-5. Just spent another 30 minutes shoveling and I still have the long sidewalk to do (corner lot)
Gonna have a few cups of coffee and then get back to it
Haven't seen any totals yet, guessing about 12"

Still snowing. That BB game last nite was disappointing though I thought the guys played hard. Glad I passed on those free tickets someone was offering that drive would have SUCKED. I used to not mind those type of challenges, now if I can avoid them I do.

According to OWH we officially got 11.9 in the 24 hours from midnight Monday to Midnight Tuesday.
Still lightly snowing here. Just finished round 4 of shoveling.

They stopped plowing a lot of the neighborhoods to concentrate on the main roads. They subcontract a lot of the subdivisions out to guys with pickups with blades. That is fine for a few inches but if they don't keep up, which they don't, they can't push this much snow. I heard them out at about 3:30am slipping and sliding and just generally making big piles of snow in the street that they couldn't push so they just left.

Eventually they'll get the road plowed and plow in my driveway. That sucks because now I'll have to carry each shovel full over to somewhere I can pile it without it just rolling back into the street or sidewalk.

We got 0 snow, but it did drift some. Blew the snow from the other night out that was more than I originally thought. I beat boxsters month total daily and most times will not even be where I need to be.

Had to take my sister to work this morning because her car wouldn't have made it out the driveway. Interstate was basically a path. Then you got your idiot semi drivers who pass because they're running out of drive time. That's scary.

Edit: Just saw a Facebook post from the county scanner page that a semi hit a highway truck and took off. That was the truck that passed us. No wonder it was in a hurry.

ESPN has been going downhill for some time. They've decided to join what I call the "bombastic" media groups, who have to rely on breathless reporting and "breaking news" to get viewership.

I prefer to get my sports news through print media.....and highlights are almost always available on YouTube. Live broadcasts are a little more problematic.
