Terrence Lewis transferring

He was a walk on though.
He was on scholarship this year though. There are definitely guys that suck comparably to the competition they're playing at. There are levels to it all.

Prentiss Nixon absolutely sucked at 3 point shooting, but he'd literally beat every single one of us in a 3 point competition.

Ballard and Terrence Lewis are low major talents, hence why they're at South Alabama. That better?

No. Damian Lillard wasn’t a low major talent but he played at a low major. Just because you play at a low major doesn’t mean you’re a low major talent. Jay Scrubb played at a JUCO this year and he’s headed to the NBA draft now. Clearly he wasn’t a JUCO level player. You can play at a low major simply because you want to be a star or key player on the team as opposed to being a 5-10 minute guy off the bench like Lewis was. He’s good enough to play at the Big 12 level but in a limited role and not be a star.

He was bad in certain areas and good in others. Overall just maybe wasn’t quite good enough to put it together on a consistent note. He had some great games OFFENSIVELY. If he truly sucked, I don’t think he would have ever had any good games.
When you account everything that goes into the game of basketball, Lewis was just not very good at this level at all. We don't have to go down the entire list because it would take long, but he just wasn't good here. Maybe he'll completely turn everything around somewhere else, and at a lower level school, he'll have a great opportunity to do so.

There’s certainly levels to it. I agree with that. As for Nixon, I’m not so sure about that. I used to beat Curtis Stinson in 3 point competitions back in the day at State Gym. I’ll challenge Nixon all day every day :)

Prohm was at the point where he was choosing between Lewis and Steyer. So yea, Lewis was going to have to see minutes. Had there been anyone else on the roster we could've thrown in there, he would've.

I know but Ballard and Lewis are actually low major talents playing at low major schools

Haha well yes you can't boil it down to that I'll agree. My point was that Nixon was absolutely awful from beyond the arc, but I guarantee you if he went to state gym he'd completely dominate. If he went to a D2 he would obliterate them. All of these guys are really really good at the game, even Lewis, but the game of basketball is so complex that even someone who has talent can end up not seeing the floor at all.

Game program yesterday said he was injured while playing for South Alabama last year and then transferred to Grambling but hasn't seen any action.

Interesting that Grambling State has 4 kids from Milwaukee on the roster too.

The coach is from that area. Blum talked about it during the game. Went to school near where TJ went.

That explains why they seemed to be talking more prior to the game then usual. There were a fair number of grambling state fans at the game yesterday.

Thought I heard on the broadcast, Blum might've even been the one who said it, Terrence is still injured and rehabbing from whatever sidelined him at USA. I think he would have one year of eligibility left somehow...he's on the Jorbo plan.
